Around College Basketball

Delaware Poultry industry worth $8Billion to states economy. Big business here, crime generally low, not a lot of bird stealers. But this year , the Blue Hens as a #12 seed ,have created a new crime in Delaware, “Bid Stealers”! Go Blue Hens!
Needless to say, I am rooting hard for Delaware!! Not sure they can do it one more game, but I would never have predicted our Johnnies run either!

Overrated by the corrupt committee and will receive more bids, at better seeds, than they deserve.

Don't get me started on the Mountain west and Big10.
SEC is legit. Mountains West was grossly overrated last year and you are not hearing anyway near the same hype this year in fact not hearing anything on them. They had their chance last year.

Big Ten I look at like the Big East.

Still a solid chance they get 4 teams in even with a basement muuuuch much worse than ours.

I think MWC is better than the A10. And absent of Duke/Clemson/Louisville/STJ/Creighton/UConn/Marquette, the MWC's top four teams are on par with the rest of the ACC & Big East. Unlike usual years, I actually think the top Big Ten teams are good (although Wisconsin as a 2/3 seed would be massively overrated)

I agree, but If their top 4 are on par with “the rest” of the big East and ACC, why are they all gonna make the tourney lol. Really hard to imagine how there are 4 tourney worthy teams in that conference of 11, but there weren’t 4 for us last year.

Offhand and quickly looking at this, I agree with Lunardi. Sure, they make it. But two of them are in a very vulnerable place as "Last Four Byes" while New Mexico is #9 -- which sounds right to me. I definitely prefer the MWC teams to UNC/Texas/Dayton/Wake Forest/Villanova.

Pitt lost a close one to Notre Dame (55-54) on a controversial call as time expired and the score tied. While it appeared the final buzzer sounded and they were headed to OT following a miss off of a rebound by ND, a foul called right before the clock hit zero. The ND player went to the line by himself with no time on the clock (think Marcus Hatten vs Duke at MSG) and hit a free throw to win it.

Honest question, how good are these SEC teams? I don’t get to watch much as I live out of the country. Are they alll legit top 10-15 teams in a normal year? If they weren’t getting this SEC love and constant top 25 opportunities, would they all be top 25 teams if spread out in other conferences?

The conference is very good, The teams are very good. They are absolutely overrated, and you will continue to see more of this moving forward.

Who exactly do you think is overrated? Kentucky, Texas A&M and Mizzou would all probably be the second best team in the BE & we'd all be happy with a split in the regular season.

Texas a m and Missouri are definitely overrated. Kentucky when fully healthy is a dangerous team. Tennessee is so overrated.
