Around College Basketball

I think committee would love to have us on a collision course with Kentucky in a lower half of a bracket, but if they want that sort of storyline, I think Louisville wins enough to meet up with us. Not sold on Kentucky winning the necessary games.

We aren’t a bubble team ( in a great year ) just root for us to beat the hell out of everyone in our path of a national championship

Because this is the year we inflict punishment and shock people

We Are ….. America’s team
You are really revved up, :) how many IPAs or Pisco sours today?

The way I see it there are 6 teams competing for the last two 2 seeds. The teams locked in to the 1/2 lines are Duke, Auburn, Florida, Houston, Alabama, and Tennessee.

That leaves us, Michigan State, Texas Tech, A&M, Wisconsin, and Kentucky with a realistic chance at the last two 2 seeds.

The thing is, the committee has shown that they essentially don't factor in the Saturday and Sunday games it regards to seeding. I think they lock the seeds in early Saturday and then the rest of their time is spent on contingencies for potential bid stealers for which there will still be the risk of going into Sunday. If Memphis makes the AAC championship game, which begins at 3:15 on Sunday, the committee will have to make two brackets - one for if they win and one that includes the bid stealer if they lose. They definitely won't be doing that in addition to adjusting the seeding based on the results of the SEC and B10 Champ games that also happen on Sunday afternoon.
Along with recruiting signing period and the transfer portal the tournament selection process suffers from poor timing issues. All games should be completed and taken into consideration and then at least a couple of hours for finalizing field and seeding. Put selection show in prime time or start last conference championship games a little earlier in the day so they can get it as close to “right” as possible.

We’re going to be a 2-3 seed and Kentucky most likely a 4 so even if in same region wouldn’t match up until elite 8.

MJ I’ve been watching that Tournament as well and the Pepperdine PG has played lights out. Interesting they have to win basically 5 games in that field and they are through 3 of them. I mean I think their record is like 12-21 or something like that.

Also San Francisco Dons are dealing with some sort of “eligibility issue” with their best player. No idea but it must be serious. I mean I didn’t think the NCAA has rules anymore. 😂 Some whispers were gambling but no one knows at least publicly. Worth watching or maybe we’ll never know?

If I'm a C or PF on that team and we have a real shot at tournament, I'm beating the shit out of that guy for gambling.

You won’t find a bigger Shamorie fan than me, but I don’t think you can put the version of him we saw here on any team and they would get better. I think he was meant to get massive usage on a team that was just inside or outside of the bubble. Maybe Pitino whipped him into shape here and had him playing hard on defense. Ponds’ hands were so good he even made Kadary look like he had casts on both hands.

In shape Posh could make any team better IMO because of how much of a demon he is on defense and the glass. The kid could cover 4’s and bang down low and was one man press on the full court.
Posh was a limited offensive player on offense. I’m take Ponds and his bad diet any day of the week over Posh

Oakland 16-17 playing 24-8 Robert Morris...OAkland has the ball 12 secs left, call a timeout with 3 seconds left. Crazy and then they draw up maybe the worst play ever. Who throws the ball in from mid side court to an alley oop to a guy double covered? OT
