Around College Basketball

I love Gwath even more than Maker. He can cover the perimeter better with his quick feet. Maker doesn't have the same ceiling in the PnR.
And I like that SD State is a defense-first program. Again, who knows if he enters the portal. But he has a unique skillset and blend of athleticism. Getting a guy like that would actually improve our defensive ceiling from this year, which is insane to say.

Gwath is a Final Four big man if he adds some strength and comes back next year. I'd draft him right now if I was an NBA team. He's also shooting almost 40% from three. He's got the feet of a SF at 7'0....crazy.

This is likely going to be the structure for all the P4 schools. As the article states, they'll still be able to do NIL (which has to be reported).

Val in her interview with Puck said every Big East school will do revenue sharing. Since we don't have to worry about football, our baseline budget for basketball can be much bigger than 2.7 mill. VCU, for example, is dedicating 5 million dollars. Add our NIL money and...

That was a crazy ending. Michigan State plays similar to us. Very good defense, offensive rebounding and bot a very good shooting team.
Maryland shot a three, have to think you drive right to the basket. The long rebound gave Michigan St. time. He could’ve taken a couple more steps of course didn’t matter.

Holy moly has Wake crapped the bed. They were in control of their destiny and they said nah, we will just lose to NC State and UVA. Fake Forest.

Cracks the door open for UNC and you know the committee wants to put them in
I looked at North Carolina’s results and frankly it’s not a Tournament resume. The biggest wins I give them are UCLA and Dayton.

The reason they get so much leeway at least according to the fraud committee is the quality of losses that only the blue bloods of blue bloods has the option to play LOSSES to Kansas, Auburn, Michigan St., Alabama, Florida, Louisville, Duke and Clemson.

You are 100% correct the Committee will kiss ass to a team that “played” a monster schedule but actually “won” very few if any of them. It’s a joke if they get in.
