Just curious. Anyone here follow Bob Hurley Sr.’s career? I wonder if he got T’d up a lot in HS Is this a case of the fruit not falling far from the tree?

TV shows his scowl every game he attends.

Had the following thought the other night watching the game. Think about how much the Big East refs hated Mullin. I'm not defending how he acted on the sidelines, or his coaching, but by his final year he was getting so many technicals that you had to include it in your pregame analysis as a given.

When you see how much coach behavior they generally tolerate, he was clearly being singled out.

And again - not looking to start a discussion about his overall coaching ability.

Mrs. IDRAFT remarked on how the guy never ever looks happy as well. Shortly after one of the scowl shots FOX also showed Calhoun, who was laughing with friends, and she pointed out how at least one of these guys knows how to relax and enjoy themselves in retirement.

To your point, I watched Yukon/Marq and Hurley went ballistic. The Announcers went on to praise the officials for “restraint” on not giving him a T. So because he’s been a raging lunatic he gets more rope? Just Danny being Danny so it’s ok was an interesting thing to credit a Ref for. I mean he was literally screaming and jumping up and down.

The teams right in front of us have just as interesting of a schedule as we do.

Houston: Baylor, @Arizona
Purdue: @Michigan, Wisconsin
Texas A&M: Georgia, Arkansas

Someone's gonna slip. Better not be us.

Curious what the Georgia line gonna be. Could be a nice money line to jump on.

Duke use to do this often under Coach K.

As an example St Johns played Duke between last week in Jan and first week in Mar 14 times between 1999 and 2019. 3 other times in December during that time period. Probably a couple times during ACC/BE challenge precluding another matchup in first quarter. Overall 17 times in 21 seasons.

True, but I also thought there were a number of other so-called bracket busting games that would be scheduled as the season went on.

That would be something to look forward to to gauge how a team is doing outside of its conference games. Maybe CRP can work on a series with Kentucky now that his buddy Pope is there, or even playing Rutgers or Syracuse each year in February, would be nice moving forward.
