Am I the only one who doesnt think myles powell has had a great senior season?
Yes.
He was better last year. Look at his stats and he is down in almost every category from last year.
Maybe its not that hes not having a good year, maybe its just hes not better then he was last year.
He's been in a shooting slump the last 5 games, or so. Before that, his numbers were much better. I think he's made that entire team better, though.
Plus, his averages include the second game of the year against Stony Brook, when he left with an injury after just 4 minutes, and pretty much put up zeros across the board. You pretty much have to discount that game, then his numbers would be better.
Shamorie Ponds’ stats his last season:
19.7ppg, 4rpg, 5apg, 2.6spg, 45% from the field, 35% from 3
Myles Powell this season:
21ppg, 4rpg, 2apg, 1spg, 40% from the field, 31% from 3
I find it funny how Ponds was said to have a disappointing season this last year but beat every stat here from Powell this season. The only difference is SHU is a better team this year by far. I know stats don’t tell the whole story, but I don’t think Powell is having his greatest season.
. Many are likely to disagree but , I think Ponds was a better player thanPowell . As mentioned , Powell has always had a better supporting Cast . It’s fantasy but, it would have been interesting to see Ponds return and play with a healthy Herron and Figgy in supporting roles .
