I think this will give the program a nice jolt

really charged about this one. I like this signing a lot. Kudos to staff for this kid who can help right away

His signing would be another piece of the puzzle for the hard working staff. Two areas next season's team will lack is experience and toughness. Livingston would seem to provide both. I can only dream of a player like Singleton, Grant or Glover. How long has it been since SJU had a tough front court player?

Obekpa? :eek:hmy:

With Livingston our roster for next two years is virtually set, save for his scholly opening up and any transfers. We also seem to have a roster capable during that time to make solid progress towards becoming an ncaa caliber program. This gives plenty of time and, im sure, much need patience for Slice and Matt to work on some serious '18 and '19 recruits. Improved product + best recruiters in the game = bright future. And hopefully Naz Reid

Does Livingston come in as the starting power forward and move Yakwe to the high energy guy off the bench or does Yakwe start and Livingston become the bruiser off the bench? Owens serves as the primary backup to Sima I would presume.

That is what I will do. Some people just fainted with the thought of bringing Yakwe off the bench but Yakwe and Sima together doesn't really work. I like Yakwe's energy coming off the bench and Livingston as the starter

Endless options depending on matchups. Livingston making space and Yakwe beating everyone to the ball, Sima and Owens playing over the top of small opponents, any number of combinations. Depth and flexibility with two real ball handlers for the first time in ages.

We still don't have a true center, but I don't see that as a problem. It might take some extra time to define rolls and find out which combos work best together. Depth...the equalizer to many issues that plagued us for years. Foul situation? Off night for one or two guys? Injury? no problem. And in my mind, I'm not even taking into consideration that Darien Williams could be healthy next season.

When / If he signs I think this is a hugely underrated pickup and could be huge for for us. I could see him and Yakwe starting together. With Sima and Owens off the bench depending on match-ups.
