All-Time SJU All-Defense Team

So many great players. I was always impressed the way Reggie Carter hounded the opposing guard.
Don't leave out George Johnson.

Postell played often and a lot during each of his four seasons at St. John's. He played over 25 minutes per outing his freshman season.[/quote]

Maybe - he was one of my favorites from the start and he was never on the court enough as far as i was concerned. My memory is that it took a year or two before they started to actually include him in the offense. Great energy, unbelievable hops - just wasn't a basketball player at the start. But he sure grew into one as I knew he would.

Hoping Marcellus follows a similar path. Very different player, but I'm hoping for similar growth from him.

Postell's offensive game started taking off early in his sophomore season. I recall a game at Notre Dame in December of that particular season ('97-'98) is when I really started to have trust in Postell from an offensive standpoint. I recall being surprised but ecstatic.

I recall one of my friends (a Hoya fan) saying, "Postell has really stepped up his game," as we watched a game during one point of his sophomore season.
