It's here for the next couple of weeks soccer lovers. With all due respect to our baseball lovers, THIS IS the sport of the month.
Today Maher may be very happy!
Argentina struggling against the Vikings of Iceland.
Messi is a mess missing a penalty.

AAAARG-entina. Tough start for Messi. I'm hoping he finds redemption before this thing is over.

Totally baffled by Peru's lackadaisical attack in the final 10 minutes of the game. The coaching leaves much to be desired.

Tri-effic result!. Germans looked a bit ponderous and seem to lack firepower upfront. Surprised they left Leroy Sane at home... Still, I expect they will progress to next round.

Now we need the Swiss to upset Brasil!

Whatever happened to the great SJU soccer program?

I don’t follow soccer, but that’s funny.

I feel sorry for Deutschland's next couple of opponents.
Hats off to Mexico!

Germany gets two games to get it together before the round of 16. Shouldn't it be sombreros off for El Tri?;)

It would be something else if Tunisia could get a result tomorrow vs. England. Unlikely but the way this WC has been going, expect the unexpected.

Will be at the semi final in Saint Petersburg in a few weeks. Hoping Brazil can turn it around and finish top of their group since that would mean they’re on our side of the bracket for the match. Also a bit nervous about traveling to Russia but seems like the fans have been treated well thus far.

Seeing a lot of chemistry issues for these teams who dominate possession. We’ve seen a few times already if you’re an organized side who can counter quick there are opportunities to pull out results. Still think Belgium are poised to break out in their “golden era” and take it home!

Messi is a mess missing a penalty.[/quote] Every single restaurant was either packed or very crowded this morning with everyone watching World Cup in downtown Lima. We literally heard roars of cheering this morning early which woke us up when something happened in one of the games. Of course every minute of break in action turns to studio and all things Peru soccer team. Praying for miracle on Thursday

Poland looses to Senegal on a ridiculous assist from the referee. Referee should be banned from any more world cup games, but this being FIFA, he'll probably get a promotion.

Assistant referee actually, but it could have been overturned by the field official who let it go. Agree it was a terrible play.
