That probalby should be it for him, as far as head coaching gigs goes.

Mastering art of being fired before end of season.

Heard he's looking to spend a few nights in a Pittsburgh hotel after viewing some pictures his former players took. D:

This is from an article in the Sun Sentinal from last week. I don't know if he's being serious with this quote or not, but he comes across as an arrogant piece of you-know-what either way (not that we didn't already know that):

"I’m going to live a happy life,” Jarvis said. “I’ve started to write another book, and I could probably write two or three more books. I’ve got a screenplay that’s probably going to be ready to come out in the next year or two, and it’s mainly because of — honestly — the incredible life that I’ve had.”

Sounds a little self centered. Considering how many kids careers he ruined you would think he would be ashamed not proud of his life.

Well let's look at it this way, now he can spend everyday at the track.

Could not happen to a more deserving individual. The man had no back bone, no spine, was arrogant and a pathological liar. Destroyed our proud tradition from which we have yet to recover and did not have the balls to admit he was wrong and instead threw Alex Evans head first under the bus.

He doe not even deserve a comment

A lot of the demise of our Basketball program has been attributed to Jarvis and rightly so.. But,let's not forget our Program's demise was helped no end by the incompetency of the President of the University. Donald Harrington..
He fired Fran, hired JARVIS, fired Jarvis at mid season, Fired Jarvis and hired NORM..

To me, Harrington is as much responsible for the down spiral of our Program as anyone. I'm not going to talk about Lavin until the season is over.

As much as I love our basketball program and want to see it return at least to the level it was in the past, i just can't obsess over, and hate, the people who were "responsible" for its demise. I can't take pleasure in seeing someone lose his job. I'd rather just look forward and not worry about Jarvis.

In other words, his future prospects are better than about 95 percent of the posters here. His past wasn't too bad either.

There are plenty of incompetent and repugnant individuals who have been very successful. Doesn't make them any less incompetent or repugnant.

PS Never has one person been so successful riding the draft of a HS basketball player he was lucky enough to coach.
