Adidas v Nike v UnderArmour Etc

I think it had to do with St Joseph’s grabbing SJU before us, and we didn’t want any overlap/confusion. We got some anyway at Mike Anderson’s introductory press conference.
That is one story. The he other one was with the nickname change it was decided to rebrand the logo and mascot at the same time.

What is the real story 🤷🏾‍♂️

I'm almost certain that St. Joe's registered the domain sju.edu very early on, and had it way before St. John's ever considered a web or email domain. No way any rational person would give up sju.edu for rebranding the logo. My guess is that even today, lots of traffic looking for st. john's at sju.edu goes to St. Joe's Philly. The rebranding explanation sounds more like a lame excuse for not claiming sju.edu.

While St. John’s mom and pop type operation was usually late to the party and behind the time, I am not sure your timeline is accurate.

Either way, I have it on good authority (reconfirmed recently after my post on this subject) that the rebranding was planned and much to the disappointment of my sources, the people making the decision was not at all bother about losing the SJU domain.

Does anybody know if the color scheme will be red and black or red and navy? I personally dont like the black unless its an alternate uniform they use once in awhile.

The primary colors need to be red, white and a dark blue.
