Part of the reason to the change is Pitinos relationship with the brand. Besides Louisville being Team Adidas’s Pitino was on their roster for over 10yrs.

The Adidas news was not...and is not...officially announced. From what I saw Zagoria published a story (early potentially without approval or ok) and then Zach and others went to sources to confirm.
But nothing is official so you won't see anything from Adidas or the school until then.
Big difference with rumors and speculation then calling our beat writer out for trying to go about things respectfully with the school. The Adidas thing has been rumored for months...but there's due process and how to report things in Zach's position

I was at the school store a few months back and one of the ladies told me that they were getting rid of all Nike stock for Adidas. I’m actually surprised Repole didn’t try to have No Bull as the team brand..
Totally fair, I have "known" since before the season ended that we were switching to Adidas. #StraightFactz,
Not sure why you are attempting to defend Zach since he has definitely posted rumors a lot more important than uniform brands.

Does Zach get a bad rap here? Yes and he doesn't deserve it. But he's definitely a day late and dollar short here. There was plenty of smoke for a long time. You're connected to the program. You heard it. Two biggest transfers are adi NIL guys. He's broke plenty of other stories prematurely.
Nike having some financial issues. For the year ended 5/31, revenues down 10% and 4th quarter revenues down 12%. Meanwhile Adidas has turned around its financial picture from loss to profit (23 versus 24) and have cleared the "Ye" issues. Don't know if this played into negotiations and amounts each of the manufacturers was willing to pony up?
Nike’s problem is no real new innovation, rolling out too large of a product line (there are the sneakers they sell on line/Foot Locker/Dick’s/ Foot Action/Outlets and then their stuff that goes to famous footwear/their outlets and places like that. They have gotten stale with over priced items and blowback from sneaker heads concerning how they ha die releases of “collectible” sneakers and their quality.
Personally I still prefer them, but the only ones I really buy are Air Force 1s in different colors configurations, every once in a while Dunks the hype and sneaker heads stop buying them and the price on some go down) and occasionally Air Jordan’s if I can get them on sale or clearance.
