Perhaps Monasch left because he wanted Lavin out and was overruled. How would you feel about him then?
JayOn_1 on Twitter is saying AD is gone as well. He has good track record.
I vote for Mike Repole for the next AD. Hopefully he would be able to handle the pay cut!!
my friend used to be the ceo of hollywood tans. I can probably get him a good job there

"as well" meaning Lavin's gone, too?

one could only wish.
It is sad to see someone lose their job. Maybe SJU can create a Tanning Department and reassign him as Chairman.Anyone who knows me knows that I have been a critic of Monasch for quite some time. I'm not going to get into my reasons why, but it's fair to say that others on here have expressed similar criticisms with reasons similar to mine. Losing your job is never a good thing. Whether we like him or not, he is a St. John's alum. It will be interesting to see if he'll be re-assigned similar to what Syracuse recently did with their AD.
A new AD is just going to be a puppet if he/she doesn't have the power to make a change with the basketball program. I certainly wouldn't want the job if it meant there were untouchables, and I imagine a long extension makes Lavin untouchable for a couple years.

From what I understand Lavin does not take his marching orders from AD.

So who controlls him, the president? Please tell me that he doesn't run wild.

Maybe that's the delay. Lavin is negotiating his new contract with himself. Both sides are overly loquacious.
