ACC Football

I see how you also conveniently left off the Big 12. Well brother, the ACC is then 5th! !

I'm only going to respond to this portion of your last reply because frankly, this is where I stopped reading it. CLEARLY you are just picking a fight, have short term memory issues, you don't bother to read what I've written or you can't understand it. No matter what the problem is there really isn't any reason to continue this conversation any longer. So I'll end things with this dose of reality:

In order for the 4 conferences I mentioned to grow to 16 or 18 teams, the Big 12 will have to be destroyed. A point made numerous times in this thread. Since the big 12 would cease to exist under that expansion scenario, a scenario that would likely end with Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma St in the pac 12 (16) and Missouri (among others) in the SEC, it is impossible, at least in this time/space continuum for that non-extant conference to then challenge the ACC for the #4 best football conference in the country now isn't it??

Time/space continuum? Big 12 Non-existent conference? The PAC 12 is NOT expanding! The Big Ten is NOT expanding! The SEC is staying at 13 for the next year at minimum! That leaves the ACC to add football powerhouse Uconn (begging, kicking and screaming to get in) and Rutgers! Here is a dose of reality for you Mr. mod----the ACC weakens itself as a football conference and gets stronger as a basketball conference! That was the goal--- to destroy Big East basketball. The president of Uconn has called for a secret behind the backs of the BB only schools of all the remaining football schools to try to convince them THEY would be better off without the BB only schools. Uconn is a remaining cancer in the conference and it needs to be excised. We will know after Sunday's meeting and then you may get your wish for an ultra-orthodox Catholic conference. For now I am done regurgitating simple facts for you to comprehend but should you get your wish goodbye Big East Tourney at MSG, hello Brooklyn. That will entice recruits! Instead of being the #1 college basketball conference in America the Big East will fall to 5th! If that is your goal or vision I feel for you.

Looks like the A-10 already has dibs on Brooklyn for tournament week. Hey, if they want to keep it in NYC, there's always Carnesecca Arena.

Brooklyn not a done deal for A10. J Z wants the Big East post 2015.

I'd love to see the SEC to go completely balls to the wall and try to grab Va. Tech, FSU, and a totally unexpected dagger to the heart -- like N.C. State -- from the ACC. Even with Pitt and Syracuse, that would leave the ACC down one. I don't think there are three "available" teams that fit the character of the ACC, so instead of stealing three, they'd have to steal just one -- UConn.

If the SEC raids the ACC then more BE teams will leave for the ACC.
No worries...if that happens we'll replace them with Navy, Army and Air Force... and create our own mega conference...

The $20M exit fee to leave the ACC will cause any school to reconsider leaving the Conference.

It has been reported that the the hesitance to raise the BEast exit fee by "Bridesmaids" yukon, rutgers and west virginia has stalled BEast football reorganization because replacement school Navy and others are reluctant to move to the BEast unless they feel confident of who will be in the BEast Conference.

Lets hope that when the music stops for the football conference realignment musical chairs that rutgers, yukon and mighty west virginia are still standing.

It is about maintaing balance and equity for the football schools. Three of the most stable football teams in the country with deep federal pockets! It is about television attractiveness nationally. Pitt, Syracuse, Uconn have only regional followings. The basketball side of the equation will take care of itself. A school, such as Providence, could be a top 20 with two recruiting classes. Football schools take 5-6 years to build. Notre Dame, a team that has sucked for years now is the most sought after program!! Not because they are winning or have won ANYTHING! it is about national television maeketability.
