FWIW.... If each of us has the time and desire, we can consider mentoring a St. John's student that may be at risk of not graduating.

IMO, a young man/woman would benefit from someone who would be able to provide guidance and encouragement, to a student from a financially challenged family and was the first one in his/her family to attend college.

While everyone leads a busy life, finding time (if possible at this stage of your life) to help just one individual could help change the trajectory of a young person's life for the better.

I know a guy who does that, who never draws attention to himself, and is the model of the Christian ethic in doing just that. You may know him also.

I can't help to the extent that others do, but once my kid is out of college will strongly consider doing so, and I will find the guy I know who does it for advice.
