25-26 Season

The goal every year as long as RP is the Coach is to win the BE regular season and tournament and get a high seed and go far in the NCAAs..

That does not mean they will accomplish all of those goals every year but make no mistake those are the goals.

He is not here to brag that they got picked to finish 9th and they finished 7th or "hey another season where we don't have a losing record isn't that great...."

I will tell how great it is that Pitino is the coach.

So they are at the BET last year and in his press conference before the Tourney he is asked about the goal that week. If you remember they got hot and won their last 5 and so many thought the goal was to beat SHU and secure and at large. He turned to the questioner and said without hesitation, "Oh we are here to win this thing..." Which was a pretty bold considering how good UCONN was.

But he meant it and he said repeatedly he thought they were the 2nd best team in the BE by year's end last year.

I don't worry about expectations with this guy as the coach. The expectations are to win and win big. That's it.

I just hope Wilcher and Dunlap take a deep breath and wait a bit to see how things shake out.

For me it’s Prey. I see a lot of potential. Defense is already there. I also like Vince as a work in progress, although others don’t. Moves really well for a guy with his length. Surprisingly decent footwork around the rim. Lots of work to do, I’d like to see him after another year with RP.

I guess Luis is missing his time slot. As a side note, i hope there’s a conversation to clear the air and he doesn’t leave on a bad note.

In analyzing this, he has every right to do what’s best for him. The thing that nags me is he wouldn’t be in the position not for Pitino, period.

As for the benching, he deserved it. We’re not privy to what went on in the hurdles. Did Pitino tell him to pass the ball and not force it, possibly! IMO Pitino was frustrated with him and benched him. Do we all regret some decisions we make, yes, however l’m believe he did what he thought was right.

Relax just joking around. May as well try to find some humor in the situation. Nobody died or was physically hurt. Hopefully it works out well for both parties. 😊

Would seem like a positive that both Glover and Dunlap commented on Imran’s Instagram post.

I would like to see us add some athleticism to our roster. Our bench isn’t overly athletic and I’d like us to invest in one or two guys with some big time upside athletically and basketball-wise. I think we have that at center which is kinda uncommon, but we don’t have enough at other spots.
