2025 Portal

Imagine Simon defending on this team. We wouldn’t let up more than 50 points a game

Nice thought but, fantasy . Justin couldn’t throw the ball into the Ocean . He would have to be forbidden to shoot .

Good defender , great hops , good teammate but , missing that1 Skill . Shooting

Creighton preparing his uniform 😇

Grab him ! North Dakota , formerly the Fighting Sioux , have a great Hockey Program . He could play for the Rangers in his off days .

If he can hit 3’s blindfolded , we could use him . Rick has always had a sharpshooter on his team . This year , we are light in that area.

UNLV's point, Dedan Thomas, soph, entering portal, after Kevin Kruger fired. He was a four- star recruit and Rebels best player, although injured for last part of schedule. He reportedly was paid $400,000 this year.

Anyone have an interest in Kolby King as a 2nd point guard for us?
Man, this is a weakness for Marillac. Backup PGs are so valuable, but I think the game is becoming more about having several taller players that can handle on the court at once. Something like Sim at the 2, Lefty, and RJ on the court at the same time with or without a true PG. You can throw Glover and Brady in there too.

Love the kid....reminds me of Erick Barkley. Defense will need a major upgrade under Pitino.

Memory is sometimes defied by actual stats. I too remember that Simon was not good from three, yet in his Sophomore season he was our leading three point shooter hitting on 41.7% of his three point shots.

I didn’t look it up but , those Stats can be swayed by very few attempts .

Also too , Justin might hold the all time record for
Bunnies missed while being above the rim .

His shooting woes plus those of Marvin Clark doomed us to , at best , mediocrity in Mullin’s season ,
Thank God , we had Ponds and LG or , it could have been much worse .

Figgy liked playing for Mullin but , not CMA . Transferred out to Oregon .

He wasn't a good defender, he was a great defender as in Big East Defensive Player of the Year. We haven't had a ton of those. Also averaged 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2.3 steals over his 2 year career for us and shot 48% from the field. Justin was an excellent all around player whose only weakness was his outside shot.

Kadary averaged that once or twice. It's important to play within your abilities. Kids like that need to be completely set and facing the basket and go up without hesitation and in rhythm. Aaron has struggled with shot selection this year. He's almost 50% when he doesn't have to turn his hips and shoulders wide to catch the pass and he's not shooting off the dribble. He's like 10% when he dribbles and shoots.
