2025 Portal

Watching the physicality of that Knicks game last night, Boogie could probably use another year of development/strength conditioning. What better place to do it than with CRP, and then be a lottery pick next year in a weak NBA Draft.

Still hoping there's a chance.
Some people say no chance, I say there's always a chance until there 100% isn't.

While I still believe getting Boogie is a pipe dream, while a great player, may not be a good mix for the current roster. At this point we have 5 or 6 potential 20 ppg scorers. What the team needs is a distributor ( Darling). And yes while I’ve said that a point guard can be a prolific scorer, adding a score first guard like Boogie next to Jackson, Hopkins, Sonon, Sellers and Zuby may be too much. Those players will need to get the balll and if Boogie were looking at an NBA future he may feel the pressure of having to score which may hurt the team dynamics/chemestry.

When Tom iIzzo was asked in a post game interview how he was able to beat a Duke team With Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and another NBA top draft pick whose name escapes me, his comment was….”there’s only one ball”.

As long as we have a back up post player, this roster, as is, is certainly capable of winning it all.

There's absolutely nothing about Boogie on a basketball court that would warrant any concern whatsoever about being a good mix with any team. I am also not sure how/why you categorize Darling as a distributor (13.6 FGA and 5.7 assists) and Boogie as score first (12.0 FGA and 5.1 assists).

Darling's assist rate is 35%, Boogie's is 30%. Both would be above Deivon and Kadary's.

Ian Jackson's is 7%...
Assist rate for Jackson last year means very little. He played the 3 and was called on to shoot.

It’s not uncommon for players to double or triple their assist rates when role/personnel change.

Desmond Claude doubled his and he was very obviously never a shooter earlier in his career so he had to pass.

No I agree. My point moreso is, why are we questioning Boogie's adeptness to distributing the ball on a loaded team of all things? He would be the one guy with proven experience and results of doing that.

Ian, and very fairly so, you just have to throw out the tape from last year to think of him as a lead guard. I loved the Jaiden Ivey comp from a scout the other day.

Debating over whether we have too many 5 star players already is incredible and would've been unimaginable on this board just a few years ago. I love it.

Personally I think we absolutely should add him if the money is there, and I haven't seen anyone say that the money WOULDN'T be there. I also think there's a realistic shot he returns since he's unlikely to be a first round pick, and just like RJ isn't coming back here Boogie won't be heading back to Arkansas. Put it all together, and there's a real chance we'll be preseason #1.

I'm very greedy, the more the merrier.

It's all about St. John's and Ricky, so screw the rest.
Ricky is big time, big time men do big time things.

The thing with our fans is we been crap for so long that they don't know how to act when greatness comes.

This is why we got Rick, just stop complaining and enjoy greatness, I think we deserve it.

Remember this post?
I do and Boogie is still focused on the draft.

If Cal really wanted him back his deep pockets pool including Tyson Food owners are deeper than ours and evidence is Boogie enjoyed his time there. However Arkansas has a top notch five star PG and Wagner so they are prepared for next year with or without him.

If Boogie withdraws from the draft and shows he at least has interest in hearing what CRP has to say/offer, at the very least you have to make the pitch.

I do think if Boogie plays college this fall it will be at St. John’s

If White Chocolate goes back for grad school he's absolutely book it 100% going to St John's

And if 1 of you guys think I would go to grad school you are insane. I want to make money not lose it
