I think that is standard tickets. Top tickets is about $850 more
 
Just some perspective, but I'm a Braves fan so Ive traveled to Atlanta often for games. I do not like staying at a hotel downtown, and I usually like to do so in most major cities. Last time I went, I stayed at a nice hotel in the Midtown area, near the Arts Center metro station, and it was relatively inexpensive. It's a quick ride on the train to the arena

I think my wife daughter & I will end up staying at my friend's house in Suwanee, GA ~ 30 miles north of arena and save on hotels if tickets will be pricey... He's a St. John's alum too but only started to follow team closer this year due to Vice documentary. Maybe he'll come to game too.

Yeah I'm from Atlanta (suburbs) and 100% agree do not stay in Downtown. It was bad when the Braves played there, but now that they've moved to the suburbs it's even worse. It's not that residential either, so at night the place basically shuts down and is unsafe. My St. John's roommate was robbed at gunpoint in Downtown Atlanta in 2012.

Shame, but the area really is terrible (along with the "city" portions of almost any Southeast city). I wanted to live in a city for grad school and of course ended up going north to St. John's. Very glad I made that decision.

I went to Atlanta in 2013 for a Mets/Braves series and stayed in a hotel two blocks from Turner Field. I second the post!

I wish you all well - Atlanta is not even in my field of vision for a place I would ever visit again.

Great game scheduled for sure.

Agreed. I stayed downtown at the ritz carlton (surprisingly cheap but not that nice) last year to attend a convention right across the street from the arena where the games will be. It is convenient to be able to walk over, but that area is just super dead so wouldn’t stay there.

I’ve always enjoyed staying in the cabbagetown/reynoldstown neighborhoods, some cool spots there.

Thanks to you and the other guys on here for pointing this out. I’ve been to Atlanta several times for work over the just few years and stayed in midtown, but didn’t realize that downtown was so bad. Yesterday, I moved my hotel from Downtown to Midtown. Thanks again for the help with that.
 


Knicks schedule is out.

How it impacts STJ:
Nov 8th, Alabama: None. Rangers play in the evening, so guaranteed to be early game. I'd guess 12pm.
Dec 6th, Ole Miss: None. Rangers play at 12:30PM, so guaranteed to be a night game. I'd guess 7pm (!).
Dec 13th: Iona: None. Rangers play at 7pm, so guaranteed to be a early game. I'd guess 12pm.

Friday night UConn game Feb/March: no clarity since Knicks or Rangers do not play on a Friday night in either month. You have to wonder if we'll get another Friday night MSG game in that month...

NYE is also free, so I wonder if we get a MSG match-up that day.
