I'd put Providence there. Need to keep tweaking the guy most likely to throw a tantrum over it.

Historically it's been The Hall we do that to. Butler has been the honoree in recent years. But Providence is a very good choice, especially with Hopkins.

As per NBA website, opening night is Oct.21. No mention of when individual team (Knicks) schedule will be announced.
Announcement is usually middle of August.
I'd imagine FOX has @Providence lined up as a network game. Maybe even a Friday Night game!

Great point. Also, I think the CA home court advantage was overstated. Great record but high percentage of "cupcakes". We lost several key Big East games at CA prior to Rick.Took a little while for the cash to start flowing in. so he had to pretend he liked it there.
I like The Hall at the MSG... always fun have the NJ vs NY crowd + all the local kids on both teams playing at the Garden...

You’re more positive about them than I am. Never cared for their fans, although I didn't mind it this past season when hardly any of their fans showed up
As someone with younger kids, Providence has been the most ridiculous the last two years. Some real obnoxious characters.
Hall doesn’t bring many fans to MSG - last year there might have been 50 total. Certainly not like a Cuse, Uconn, Nova, Providence or frankly even Gtown as down as they’ve been. Pitino has a definite soft spot for Sha, but I’d play them in Carnesecca most all the time unless it’s a season where they project to have a very good squad.

Reminder that you can get tickets in Atlanta this Tuesday 8/12 if you book travel through them. I assume Hotel is enough as I don't need flights.

The Travel Packages are available and prices are crazy they don't break down hotel (Westin Peachtree Plaza) and ticket prices (base is an upper level sideline seat; lower level corner +$120/seat; midcourt +$435/seat). There is a hospitality package includes an open bar and food beginning one hour before the first game, and continuing through the end of halftime of the second game.(you cannot decline). Anyway for 4 people prices out to $2856 with Lower corner seats and that seems to only give me one hotel room.
I will take my chances to get tickets in September. Funny thing is I already booked the same Hotel and have two rooms for two nights at less than $600 total.

the open bar though.... for basically 4.5 hours.... mannn... i could make that worth the price of the trip...

absolutely insane prices - you can get hotel rooms within a mile of the arena for less than $150 a night. The upcharge for tickets through these packages is offensive lol
....but the Open bar though...
$750 per person, 2 games, 2night stay and hospitality. Prices are crazy but when you live in Westchester and socialize....but the Open bar though...
in Manhattan it’s not to bad.
i followed the link and went through the steps to see what it be... for the best seats (you get the VIP Open Bar) - 2 night stay... came to ~1500.... honestly thought it be more...
what a time to be alive where WE are the main draw lol... i know Kentucky fans will be everywhere... but if things go right... we should be the top ranked team there.... with a field of UK, UNC, Ohio St.... who would have thought that 4 years ago
