Jesus get all the players and staffs vaxxed !

They're even giving shots at their workplace!
29 years ago when I started at my company ( which was formerly different company ) they gave out shots my first week in the office. But they were Jaegermeister shots. The good ole days how things have changed

Maybe when they are gonna use deGrom they should start an opener and use the pen for the first 2-3 innings then bring in deGrom so the lousy offense on days he pitches will at least know how many runs they need to win the game. Something tells me he could leave with a 10-0 lead and they'd lose 11-10.

Jesus, for deGrom to win 15 games he'd have to pitch every 7th day and go 9 innings each time.

Unfortunately, deGrom knows that doing damn near everything isn’t enough around here. His ERA since the start of the 2018 season is 2.07 across 495 innings and 77 starts. The Mets’ record on those nights is 36-41.

Wow, that is freaking ridiculous. deGrom should definitely sue the team for non support!

New owner, same Mets!

with that said I’m going to the game tonight in Philly. Hopefully they get their first win!

Awesome. Are they asking you for a negative test or anything to enter the stadium? My son is begging me to go to a Knicks game and they are asking for a rapid test within 6 hours or a PCR within 72 hours. I am fully vaccinated but not for 2 weeks post second shot. I know its inside so that also factors in but curious what anyone else experience has been.

As far as I can tell you just need to wear a mask to get into the Phillies stadium.

but I have heard that in New York they have more rules.

funny story my buddy went to a Knicks game about two weeks ago with his girlfriend. They didn’t realize you needed a recent Covid test to get in. So they got denied at the first entrance to MSG. My friend ended up having his girlfriends sister send them a PDF copy of her recent Covid test results, and they forged their names on it, went to like a side entrance at MSG, and it worked they let them in haha.

so I think as long as you get tested semi recently and have proof you should be able to get into MSG

Last year I had my worries about Rojas' bullpen usage. There was no reason not to allow deGROM another inning. Better watch himself this year with the new ownership.

Jack I'd just worry that he'd blow his arm out.   The last 500 innings compare favorably to any pitcher since 1950 at least.

Really a thing if beauty, and I simply think if they aren't going to spend on slam the door bullpen talent just enjoy what is likely the 2nd best pitcher the Mets have ever had.  The distance between Jake and Seaver gets narrower and narrower each time deGr0m goes out there.

Watching Trevor May-Day pitch is already giving me agita; and Oh No Diaz coming in for the 9th--Light a candle

Fun night at the ballpark,

I thought it’d be funny to wear my Darnold jersey. The New York fans there were loving it, but a lot of Philly fans talked shit.

I don’t care, Mets win!

Stro was awesome tonight. If he could sustain this, what a 1, 2 punch that could be with Jake.
And leave Nimmo at the top. The guy is amazing. He can be .400+ obp.

Best comment of the night came when they showed a panel that listed Ron Darling as having a Mets record of 5 game #2 starts, and 8 overall.  He never was opening day pitcher.

Keith Hernandez then offered "You're also second fiddle in the booth, Ronnie."    Hysterical.

I love the SNY team.   Maybe the best in baseball.
