I forgot to post about this. Where are my Jets fans?

Sunday was one of the most satisfying wins I've ever had being a Jets fan for the last 15ish years.

No, it wasn't close to a playoff win or anything like that, but that win over the Cowboys made me believe in the New York Jets again.

I was excited for this season. I went to the opener against the Bills. Walking out after blowing the 16-0 lead, was probably the most heartbroken i have ever been walking out of a stadium.

Then Sam gets mono. Then Daniel Jones has a huge game. Like always, it seemed Darnold and the Jets were going to be the afterthought in their own stadium and city.

Sam returns, and he looked like the franchise QB that was promised. Beautiful throws. The way he maneuvers the pocket looks like something only Rodgers, Mahomes, and Wentz can do. I always say, what separates a good QB from a great one, it is being to extend the pocket for 2-3 seconds by knowing where to step and where to go. Darnold has that sixth sense. Gifted.

I dont wanna overreact over one game, but that game made me optimistic about the future again.

Monday Night, against the unbeaten Pats. Lets go! CJ is back. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS

I had high hopes this year but then everyone started getting hurt or sick. That 0-4 start is going to be tough to come back from but I'm hoping they can salvage the season. Darnold is legit and his future is bright but until management makes an actual effort to upgrade the O-Line he going to have a tough time. My brother is a Cowboys fan so I've been giving him shit. CJ coming back is big but I'm doubtful he'll be enough against the evil empire. We will see, Bell has to have a big game for us to have a chance imo. At this point I'm hoping we can finish at .500 this year. Then upgrade the offensive line so we can unleash Darnold and Bell and get a true WR1 which we desperately need. Anderson is good but he's not that guy. If that happens I think we'll be a playoff team.

If we win Monday I am going to start thinking playoffs. Our schedule gets a little softer.

@JAX
@Miami
vs NYG
@WAS
vs OAK
@CIN
vs Miami

Lets run the f**king table

This weeks Jet game was so much fun. The Bills have been a very good team and we would have one that if moseley hadn't gotten hurt. We do have a soft schedule after this week but all I want is to see competitive football and continued improvement. Jack - I told you not to jump on the Daniel Jones bandwagon so fast. He looks good but its early. Many did that with Mayfield last year and he is struggling this year. Darnold can be a good one. Time will tell.

no mike, no.

You want to know something crazy. Yesterday was my birthday too

in classic jets fashion, if they have an emotional satisfying win, they have to rip you down as fast and hard as possible the next game.

- Sam: laughing stock of the league for the ghost comment
-- blown away on national tv by a rival
-- 1-5 and another season down the drain already
-- Cowboys already back in control of the NFC East so i cant even take pleasure in maybe ruining their season

Why do i root for these teams? Really why? Jets, SJU, Mets, Knicks?? There is a 10 year old kid in Boston somewhere who has celebrated over 5 champinships across all the sports, and I turned 22 yesterday and I have seen none.

My entire "birthday party" was getting a bunch of jets fans together and getting pizza/wings/beer and enjoying the game. That game last night was over before half of my friends even showed up. Might be time to stop taking sports so seriously. For real, I might be done

Hang in there Jack, you are only 22. As a follower of Mets, Knicks (but not since Dolan who has destroyed the team), Jets (till they left Shea and I gave up season tickets), Rangers and SJU, I can always look back and remember my "once/twice in a life time" moment. Trust me you will someday have that moment with many years ahead.

Hey Jack don't worry, you are going to outlive the Dolans, Wilpons and Johnsons. Even if I do by then I will probably be lucky to remember my own name. Damn those bastards! :lol:

apparently we are about to deal Jamal Adams.

If so, I am done.

Was a fun ride. Been a diehard since I was 7 years old. But I am done

Jack you can't quit the Jets. I have been a fan for over 40 years and all I have to show for it is a few AFC Championship games that we lost. But when you are a Jets fan those feel like Super Bowls. After Rich Kotite went 4-28 in 1995-96 we actually had a winning record from 1997-2017. There will be better days ahead.

Anyway Adams wasn't traded so your stuck.

Halloween over and Darnold still seeing ghosts and not seeing snaps.

Holy embarrassing this Jet team. Is Gase related to Rich Kotite ?

This comparison popped into my head earlier today (when the Jets still had a chance)

FSU fired Willie Taggert mid season after loss to rival Miami yesterday. Another Jet meltdown vs Jints next week...

Bringing the paper bag to wear next week. This feels like Rich Kotite all over again.

Do not cut out any holes for your eyes, it will make the experience more bearable

As a dolphin fan I usually would be pleased with a Jets melt down, or at the very worst I wouldn't care how bad the Jets were, but this is just sad. I feel their pain, because we were on this merry-go-round of trying to fit a HC or GM with a currently employed GM or HC. It took ten years for them to figure out that is madness. Now they have a GM who runs the show, and who hired a coach he wanted that shares his vision for the team's direction.

Johnson needs to fire himself and hire a someone who knows what they are doing running an NFL front office. I thought the Met's and Knick's ownership were the absolute worst but this is horrifically bad.

In the last year...
- Johnson gives McCagnan control.
- Johnson/McCagnan can't get Iowa St HC to interview.
- Johnson/McCagnan won't let Baylor coach hire his own OC (who does this?) so he turns down the job.
- Johnson forces McCagnan to hire Gase because of Peyton Manning endorsement.
- McCagnan and Gase disagree on how to spend FA cap space. Johnson allows McCagnan to spend that cap space.
- Johnson Allows McCagnan to choose players in 2019 draft.
- Gase blows up McCagnan's choices in FA and the Draft, Johnson fires McCagnan.
- Johnson hands control over to Gase.
- Gase hires figurehead GM.

Now Gase is on his way to flopping miserably, but nobody fires a guy less than a year after giving him total control over football operations and without allowing them to sign a FA class or run a draft...do they?

What does it say about Johnson that firing Gase is even a talking point today? He should be out there talking about the change in direction they took in May, preaching patience, and that they need to give Gase a couple of years to bring in "his players". That's the only fair thing to do, and the only way for him to even pretend that he knows what he's doing, but he's not doing that. He's letting this "fire Gase" movement to gain momentum. Why?

Is it utter incompetence by ownership or does he see what everyone else sees? That while Gase wouldn't be getting a fair shake if they fired him today or at the end of the season, he clearly isn't the answer.

My only question is if they do fire Gase in January, will they do the right thing and fire Douglas as well so they can start from scratch? Or will they stay on the carousel and force a HC on him he doesn't want?

Johnson might be the worst owner in NY sports. He combines the apathy and incompetence of the Wilpons with the ego and need to interfere of James Dolan. He needs to hire one guy to run everything and step out of the way or it's never getting better.

Gase and Kotite must be brothers from other mothers
