Oy vey!

the other side of the bracket is a lot more inviting with the Watson/Sumner injuries. Which is good because i think 6 is where we end up when all is said and done

Good, that fit's my schedule better.

3-9 all up for grabs

Give me 3 or 6, don't want #7, 3 night is much easier then 4.
that 9:30 game is so rough for me with work. Would definitely have to take off the next day because my eyes would be bleary and I can't do long pre game happy hours like I used to. Getting older sucks :)

Yes, it sure does! Im not getting old I reached just OLD Hope we have a good game tonite

looking at the standings and the remaining schedule, i have a sinking feeling we're going to end up in the 8/9 game....
-- georgetown, seton hall and providence all still have one game left against depaul.....
-- our 2 road games are tough and one of our home games is against gtown who we never seem to compete with...

hope we can at least hang on to 7th so we can play depaul in the first round and hopefully get to play on thursday....

First off it's embarrassing that the official BE website, as of 2 minutes ago, had Seton Hall 6-7 in the conference standings. I agree the 7 seed is huge due to the fact that the winner of 8/9 plays Nova at Noon on Thursday. If all the teams involved win their home games ( outside of when playing DePaul) here is how it would shake out:
5. Marq 9-9
6. Seton Hall 9-9
7. STJ 8-10
8. Prov 8-10
9. Gtown 6-12
10. DePaul

Not exactly sure how they break the 7/8 th place tie breaker but I think it has something to do with wins vs. the top of the conference and I think the win vs Butler would help us .

Head to head first, so if we beat Providence in the season finale, under your scenario, we'd get 7th (2-0).

If head to head is tied, then they start with your record against the other teams, starting at the top.

Right, we did beat them the 1st time...That last game could be huge.

I honestly think that if this stays the way it is, it will be the best spot for us. Playing a DePaul team which we should beat and get the momentum going against the tougher competition that we beat already.

This chart forgot to add the Hall's loss to Nova Saturday, which dropped them to 6-8 (ccnobz noted this error earlier).

So, we are actually in 6th, since we are 2-1 against the other two teams we are tied with.

Seton Hall and Providence split, so it gives Seton Hall a 2-2 record in the mini-conference tiebreaker, and Providence is 1-2. So, that would put Seton Hall 7th, and Providence 8th.

Please tell me how being #7th, and playing Wednesday is the best spot to be in? What do hwe benefit when playing on Wednesday rather then having Wednesday off? Trust me, all these coaches want in the top 6.

#6 is the best spot to get in.
