A little premature there including Obekpa as a member of our team :p . Obviously I hope you're right, but I haven't seen anything to make this leap.

No,
just an optimistic guess.

my hope

Sanchez
Obekpa
Hall

Join
Sampson
Balamoux and
Branch

to make a six man recruiting class.

I can't see us signing Sanchez, O and Chandler, though that would be sweet.

That would leave Lav 3 schollies to play with for the following year and 1 (unless some go early to the NBA) for the year after that.

Whoever coach brings on board I hope they are all good foul shooters Watched the NCAA game and you are not going to advance unless you are a good foul shooting team Has not been a strength of ours

While me thinks landing Sanchez, Chandler, and Obekpa is a stretch, I will never doubt Lavin on the recruiting trail. Lavin signed four Top 75 SF's last year...think about that! Maybe most impressive is that Lavin got the lowest ranked SF, Garrett, to sign last. That also speaks volumes about Garret's confidence as well.

At least with the bigs, Lavs can rotate four guys 20 mpg at two positions and give Sanchez and Sampson minutes at the three. GG should really be limited to about 10 per anyway, and he will only be around for a year.

Agree and think we need all 3 bigs. No reason O and Chandler can't split 40 minutes PT. We don't even know who is ready to play and contribute and whoever is playing better gets more PT. GG not really a center and agree with you that 10 min of high energy play would be ideal for GG.

I know its been said, but I wanted to confirm. Branch has 3.5 years of eligibility left correct? Where I am confused is since he played the fall semester, how that doesn't take up a year, but if it is 3.5 I will take it. This team is shaping up nicely. Hammer to rock

Bourgault - 3 years according to Zags update.

Are those positions what you think they will be playing or what they naturally play? I was under the impression that Sanchez was a 4 and Bourgault was a 2.

Branch will be a sophomore, so he'll only have 2 1/2 years of eligibility.

His freshman year is gone. He is a sophomore next year and only has 2.5 years. He will play around Dec 20th based on typical STJ fall semester ending then his entire Jr and Sr year.
