Better shooting UConn w edge in depth department v a much superior SJ defensive team with more physicality and rebounding, especially on offensive boards.

With UConn home edge in raucous arena, we could certainly lose, but this bunch is confident and on a mission. Another outstanding don’t miss BE game.

Mullins Revenge positioned well, playing it right down the middle. He can change bandwagons quicker than Dev Smith on a breakaway 😇

The six day layoff for UConn is the tiebreaker to me in this one.

I am not one who gets hung up on or generally overanalyzes stats, especially game to game. All in context, with the game on the line, they made their foul shots, going 11-14. They are a 70% foul shooting team, certainly not great but not 35% (6-17) either. As little does, it didn’t phase them or make them tighten up down the stretch.
Some of the dreaded “everything’s” that would lose games against good teams if they weren’t righted were realized, we had more TOs than Marquette, only made 3 threes, shooting under 20%, no bench scoring, but they still won.
This team certainly seems to have discovered that “something” that shows up in no box score, an unbreakable ability to just “keep playing” in the face of anything and everything. Very rare quality especially when it infects a whole team and oh so enjoyable to watch and root for. I posted before the season began this team would rise or fall on their defense but I did not remotely expect this, one of the best and most committed defensive teams I have ever seen at this level and kudos to every single player and coach.

Hurley has created a dynasty over there. The man is as annoying and arrogant as they come but he is a great coach. This will be the battle of the coaches game. Our D will F them up and rattle them. We are like killer bees 🐝 on defense.

I think Hurley is perfect for UCONN.

He’s carrying on the tradition of that POS Calhoun .

When Deivon and Kadary are in the game together Kadary seems to defer to Deivon and let him bring the ball up. I think the team runs better with Kadary as the lead guard. Deivon prospers better in a 94 foot game.

Zuby is such a key asset I worry when he sits. Can his sub contain UCONN centers?

No one works harder to get free than Solo Ball. He must run 5 miles around screens. Will be a challenge to contain him.

Feel good about the other matchups.
