19-20 Transfers

Harvard graduate transfer Seth Towns tells ESPN he has cut his list to Duke and Ohio State
Jeff Borzello

Amari Hardy, a talented combo guard, who started at UNLV, put name in transfer portal. Don't know if coach wanted him out or not. I think he has two years left.

By necessity. Powell ain't walking back through that door, and with McKnight, they are losing one of the best backcourts the school has ever had. Plus Gil's departure has them a bit concerned, I think, on the front line because of how the transfer from Florida State underperformed (although they will be fine there, IMO, because I think Mamu is one of the best bigs returning to the league next year and will be an all conference type performer).

Not to mention rumors that Anthony Nelson (a would be junior PG) is unhappy and in Willard's dog house, and Cale who played a good chunk but spent part of the year in the dog house as well. So between having to replace the McKnight/Powell combo, and possibly some additional movement from their roster, they need to inject experienced talented players. No shock they are going after every possible grad transfer/sit out transfer with ability.

Columbia grad transfer Mike Smith tells me that he is now receiving interest from both Seton Hall and Gonzaga in addition to Arizona and Michigan.
Did Matt move on to Seton Hall while I have been isolating? Seton Hall seems to be in on every transfer in the country.
No shock given who recruited them. Nebraska is already a turnstile.

the list contains the following 2 familiar names:

Sit-out transfers eligible for the 2020-21 season
#33. J'Raan Brooks, 6-foot-9, 220 pounds, PF, redshirt freshman, Washington (from USC)
This ESPN 100 prospect committed and decommitted from both USC and St. John's before ending up back at USC out of high school. He averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds.

CMA recruited him at Arkansas, but his shooting numbers are not great. He is a grad transfer btw.

I know Marshall is demanding, but kids usually love him. No clue what's going on there.

Story in today's paper with his father certainly gives the impression the coaching staff felt they would be better without him. He was a four-star, top fifty recruit and father said he has 15 schools interested, already. He finished the season looking good. Not sure if his future is at point or on wing.

Familiar name, Matt recruit;

Nebraska guard Dachon Burke is grad transferring, sources told ESPN. It's not an unexpected move. Burke averaged 12.2 points and 3.4 rebounds this season.
Jeff Borzello

Wow...thought he was high potential. Maybe he'll transfer to Syracuse, where his brother played.

Harvard's Seth Towns, considered to be the #1 grad transfer on the market by ESPN, has picked Ohio State over Duke and others as his destination for next year

He's a local kid from Columbus, Ohio who has had injuries the past two seasons but was the Ivy Player of the Year in 2017-18, shooting 44% from 3 point land

PC always manages to get interior guys with bulk. We’ll see on this one;
Goodman;

La Salle big man Ed Croswell told me he will choose between Providence and ODU today. The 6-8, 250-pound sophomore averaged 10 points and 7.3 boards last season.

Damn Cooley!! At least my daughter will be a freshman next year, so I may have a slight rooting interest.

Sign that kid Turner from Bowling Green up before anyone else does. 6'4" SG who shoots about 37% from 3 and over 80% from the line over three years!
