#11 Marquette (MSG), Tue., Feb. 4, 6:30p, FS-1

Also depends on where the money comes from. They will take action from the public until the cows come home. But, sharps come in on one side and they take notice and move lines almost immediately.
This is all driven by algos, and if you think the bookmakers are relying on hunches and feelings, forget it.

I understand that. In these other conferences, their teams are playing a top 25 team every other game. I get it. We don’t get as many opportunities especially since it’s a down year for the Big East. That’s why it’s even more imperative that we take care of business from here on out.
Name the conferences where teams are playing a top 25 team every other game. Not doubting you but perplexed. But then again I am often perplexed....

SEC has 16 teams 10 of which are ranked so if you are an unranked SEC team 2/3 of your conference games are probably against a ranked team.

This occurs during football season. They hey rig the rankings early in the preseason to have a disproportionate amount of P2 teams atop the standings, so they can claim SOS, and thump their collective chests chanting, "SEC, SEC, SEC."

Rinse wash repeat. Nothing new.

NCAA needs to get rid of preseason rankings altogether.

I don't think the NCAA ranks teams until Selection Sunday - not publicly anyway.

I see many posts making fun of my MUST WIN mantra. It’s too bad that the several posters who agree are afraid to post it for fear of condemnation of the popular guys. 🤪 To those who have, congrats….. you have your own mind, to those who agree with my stance but have not …… It is far easier to be a sheep then follow your own path.
I will say it once and only once , drop it.
I trust the message is clear.

Every sport on campus shouldd answer the call and be there tonight
Baseball team, who were honored Saturday, were out in full force in student section. There were a lot of them, in suits and tues, on their feet all game and very loud.

Great to see college athletes not being too cool to cheer like crazy. Also great when other teams support each other. We have 360 or so D1 athletes. I went to their awards dinner (which AH gave us a historical look at) adn each of those kids showed up at mass before the dinner in their Sunday best, filling the chapel.

Not sure how long ago, but loved when our lacrosse coach posted that his team would be present and accounted for at a big game, and show other students how to cheer loudly. They were there and they were loud.

Great post!

Sad. I want at least 17k of we can't get 18k.

Wtf, 10-1 in conf and in 1st all alone.
Ranked 12th ap/10th coaches.

They deserve more than 14-15k.

And yeah I don't care if it's a weekday night game, stop with the excuses and get your asses there.
The difference between Saturdays crowd and tonight will be the number of opposing team fans. Providence probably had 4k, MU probably closer to 2k, if that. Similar amount of SJU fans, and they'll be louder because the ratio will be higher. Hopefully we give them something to cheer about, if we do the place will be plenty loud.
