Congress to propose NIL guidelines in new college sports compensation bill
If the bill passes, it would override current state NIL laws, which vary from border to border.

McDermott had very mediocre results before ardiving at Creighton. Long been suspected of cheating thereyou know who surprised me as a Big "bag dropper" school- Creighton. (not sure why any school would be a surprise) - but that was the school all AAU kids wanted to be invited for an "Official"
They paid players but so did every good team. And they got caught paying Patton. But Creighton’s best player of the last couple decades wasn’t paid, who can say that?McDermott had very mediocre results before ardiving at Creighton. Long been suspected of cheating there

The Athletic does a very good job covering sports. For those who have a subscription to the Athletic, interesting article today titled
"What we’re hearing about college basketball budgets in revenue-sharing era: ‘Money-dump year’"
One nugget is that it says based on estimated payroll the BE is competitive with the ACC, Big 10 and Big 12 at around $8m -$8.5m per team whereas the SEC is at $9.7m.
The debate is what's going to happen to the supplemental (collective) money and how much cheating will return.
Predicts (as most have) that the BE and A10 may very well be able to outspend the football leagues by not having to direct revenue to places other than basketball.
Also notes that the uncertainty is delaying commitments from HS stars (although I have also seen it reported that they are an unimpressive lot so who knows).
