Homeland And All Things Maher

If any of you haven't gotten on the Task bandwagon yet, I highly recommend. The latest episode was easily the best one. intense and thrilling. 2 episodes left now, it is lining up for an incredible finish
Hmmm…halfway done with MobLand, maybe I should check this out. People in the office talking about it too.

We just watched the first 3 episodes tonight. Excellent show

I don’t know how many Tim Robinson fans there are on the site but the first episode of The Chair Company was great. Instantly fished in. You either love him or you don’t. I watched Friendship a few weeks ago and loved that too.

He is one strange cat, but love his stuff. Detroiters was awesome.
I was a little late to the Tim Robinson party, I just got into him last year, but I’m in 100%. He’s definitely polarizing, and some of the stuff on his sketch show was a little too out there, but I’ve watched both shows now and find him hilarious. He really has perfected the cringe but also most of his characters he plays are actually relatable somehow.

I love how he was cast aside by SNL after one season and has since become his own weird, wacky brand.

Thinking of dropping Netflix and picking up HBO.

Just seems to be more quality shows.

We watched “Black Rabbit” with Jude Law and Kevin Bateman. It started off pretty good - felt a little like Uncut Gems in the intensity of getting caught up in really bad debt. But then it dissolved episode by episode into something hare brained.

glad you guys are also enjoying. Really excited for the finale this weekend. Will be sad not to be able to look forward to this show on Sundays anymore, has been a great ride
I’ve watched every episode twice already just to make sure I hadn’t missed anything

Watched the first episode of Task today and, yeah, I’m in. Has a True Detective vibe. I loved Tom Pelphrey in Ozark and he’s good in this. The pilot definitely sets things up nicely and makes you care about the characters.

Finished MobLand last week and have to say it kinda disappointed me, especially after the first couple of episodes. It wasn’t bad by any stretch but it was just a little too outlandish and cartoonish for me. Tom Hardy was easily the best thing about it.

And, had mentioned I was watching Snowfall and I wasn’t a fan of how they ended it. I get the full circle type crap but there’s no way Franklin’s character would have just accepted that kind of life. It just, and I’m not a fan of time hops, just felt really rushed at the end. The show was good for awhile though.

Oh and episode 2 of The Chair Company was great too. I know Tim Robinson has his schtick but he’s seriously a good actor and it got a bit dark in between the laugh out loud crap they throw in there.

Having finished Task, i can confidently say that Tom Pelphrey handily gives the TV performance of the year in this. There are some scenes later on where he is reacting to new information he receives, and he is just unbelievably good. You can feel his character's pain through the screen.

Thanks for reminding me. I had watched the first few episodes and liked them but got sidetracked. I will watch the rest now.
