Mike Repole Piece

I sent the link to my 21 year old who wants to be an entrepreneur.
If you can explain to him what was special.about flavored water with no proven health benefits then I'll believe it was the product. To generate sales in a very crowded food and beverage space, and do it twice to prove it wasn't a fluke was the hard part. High profit low cost product. The sports apparel space is similar in that regard so I wouldn't bet against NoBull either.

Watch Adidas buy No Bull.

Watch Adidas buy No Bull.
Counting inflation, that would mean No Bull would be 6x more valuable than Vitamin Water when sold to Coke.

Adidas is a massive brand internationally. Amazing Oasis merch at their shows earlier. It's a big STJ win to be a prioritized brand there.

Randomly came across this clip currently going viral on X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.:

im not up to speed with the new UFL... but i just dont see another professional football league taking off... if it doesnt have the best players... dont think theyll succeed...

haven't we been down this path with the XFL etc...

Fans have their College.. then their NFL team...

UCF should “change its name to the University of Orlando … or Orlando University,” according to Mike Bianchi of the ORLANDO SENTINEL. The school should “drop the ’Central,’ embrace the city, and stop pretending that the rest of the country knows what or where ‘Central Florida’ is.” UFL co-owner Mike Repole, a UCF donor though not an alum, said, “This university should be known as the University of Orlando. Nobody outside of this state knows where Central Florida is, just as nobody knows where Central Jersey is or Central Iowa or Central New Hampshire.” Repole: “The recruiting process begins when kids are 7 or 8 years old and they go to Disney World and create great memories. And then when they grow up, they’re like, ‘Oh my God, Orlando, I want to go back there.’ Changing the name would be a great branding and marketing tool for the university.” Bianchi noted Repole lives in Orlando and is “invested in this city.” UCF is “one of the largest universities in the nation,” and has a football program that has won three New Year’s Six Bowl Games and gone “toe-to-toe with the sport’s bluebloods.” But even as the school’s brand “has grown, the confusion persists.” Bianchi: “’Central’ could be anywhere. Orlando is somewhere.” Some fans will “say the ‘UCF’ brand is too established to change now.” They will “point to years of marketing, the undefeated seasons, and the ‘Charge On’ culture build around those three letters.” Bianchi: “Change the name, keep winning football games, and watch how quickly people adapt” (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 10/10).

I hope you were the one who ignored paragraphs, and not the writer of the piece, because looking at that gave me a bigger headache than the bill from Disney when I took my kids there years ago.

Another misnomer. Manhattan College is in the Bronx and closer to Westchester County than the Bronx.

I just cut and pasted exactly how it appeared ;)

Limited attention span for putting lipstick on the pig.
