New York Mets 2025 Season

The one thing that being a SJU/Jets/Mets/Knicks fan has taught me is to appreciate the good times cause they don’t tend to come by often

However, the last two years have been pretty fun. St. John’s big east champions, Mets made NLCS in ‘24, Knicks Eastern conference finalists this year

2025 mets have given me an extra reminder not to take those successes for granted. There’s no guarantee you ever get back

Gutless performance. Getting shut out with the season on the line is truly pathetic. The leadership of this team deserves all the blame. They wore down our pitchers to the point they couldn't even pitch. It's not just one or two guys....it was freaking everyone. It's a miracle we didn't suffer more injuries with how reckless they were. Someone should tell them it's not 1990 anymore or we will be in the same situation in 2026.

The Mets go exactly what they deserve, to go home!! They had opportunity after opportunity and blew every one of them. Mendoza has to go and especially the pitching coach Hefner!
Not Hefner. He has a good track record. He can only make enough chicks salad out of…

Besides, he will do well cultivating the kid pitchers.

A truly pathetic performance. Of course, this shouldn’t be about ONE game. This team has been well under .500 since June. An extended period of suckitude. Once 20 games over .500 but will miss the playoffs in an era of overly generous playoff spots.

A Manager who could not make the right moves nor motivate the Team. Never a sense of urgency but tails of how we need to play safe for tomorrow. All that got us was no more tomorrow’s.

A GM who built an absolute shitty rotation that has been leaking for months. A GM who’s trading deadline “bolstering” blew up in our faces. The mythical pitching “lab” is just a myth. A tool but not the complete answer. We need actual arms not analytical science projects.

A pitching Coach who has been overly praised even though our pitching is a wreck. It’s a little strange. Results are results. They are facts. The Team ERA finishes at 4.03. Good for 18th in MLB.

Our Owner “called out” fans about attendance. Fans responded with over 3 million. Yet, this was the lackadaisical product we were rewarded with?

Long off-season ahead. Time for basketball season. Nothing left to be said. Go St. John’s!

Trading Lindor or Nimmo seems very unrealistic to me, but I’m honestly happy it’s an idea out in public.

I really just think this season comes down to the players. Way too much talent to be so gutless, arrogant and no urgency throughout the year. Zero leadership. Break up the core. Build a team with run prevention, speed, youth, etc.

I love Pete but….

Is this what our team had on their minds while we still had a chance? He couldn’t wait a day or two? He has plenty of time. Poor timing even if we all knew this since the day he signed this deal.
He knew from the time he signed with the Mets for this season he was going to test the waters again and so did the Mets. He had a great year and gave his all every minute he was on the field. He had nothing to do with the folderoo and doesn’t owe anyone anything. He was no longer a Met the moment the 27th out was in the books. I hope he comes back but if he doesn’t I hope his gamble on himself this year pays off for him.

We have so much to be optimistic about next year. For starters the genius running baseball ops has Frankie Montas making $17M to “rehab” the entire season.

We have an arrogant Stearns calling the shots. I can only assume his arrogance based on the way he makes moves that he thinks he is way smarter than he actually is. Don’t forget he went to Harvard!

Exactly. Good riddance

I don't want any player on my team who announces this shit right after your season ending game

He could have waited to announce. Don't let the door hit you on the ass

You are giving a Alonso a pass for the team’s failure? Really?

Alonso does not get exempt. He had plenty to do with the way the season ended.

You are right though, he does not owe the Mets anything. And it goes both ways.
