Baseball players have become the worst conditioned athletes ever. The ball wasn’t even hit to him.
Looks like a calf, Achilles or ankle injury. Hard to tell which. They are all connected after all. He’ll be gone a long time I fear. Too bad.
Whoever this guy Warren is he at least gave us a chance after the injury downer. He also is no kid. He’s 29 with a career 6-0 record and lifetime 3 ERA in now 40 games.
I had to look him up because I had no idea who he is or where he came from.

great work by the pen, way to split this series after losing the first two. Canning injury is brutal. You gotta feel for the guy who was having a good year and seemed to be figuring things out. For us, it just adds another injury related obstacle

Bravos back to 6 games under .500 and 10 games back of the Mets. The last two games shows how hard it is to make up ground when you dig a deep hole. We’ve been there. I feel much better because things were starting to spiral a bit. Rather be us than them.
Pitching depth is so important. I’ve got 7 pitchers on IL in my fantasy league. It’s an epedemic. I don’t why anyone would sign a pitcher long term now.

Mets prospect Elian Peña had a monster day: 4-for-5, 2B, 3 HR, 7 RBI The Mets gave him a team record $5 million signing bonus earlier this year. Three straight at-bats with a home run and two homers in one inning. Video is the double and two of the homers.

Look at Pena's game log. Not only has he started to put it together already after that 9 game stretch, but his walks is very impressive. He's already walked 10 times in 17 games. For context, when Maurico was on that level, he walked 13 times in 57 games.I was literally coming here to post this
