Homeland And All Things Maher

Watched two more episodes of Department Q, 5 & 6, there is a scene in Ep. 6 where a heavy-handed thug, meets the main character's step son Jasper in a soda shop to threaten him and his step father. It is riveting and chilling and stays with you. What an epic 90 seconds of t.v., and Jasper says almost nothing back to the thug, it's all in his face.

Ok, season 6, episode 13 of Cobra Kai was amazing. Not just throwing this around because you all know how much tv, and what I’d say is usually class tv, I watch…but William Zabka deserves some kind of award after that scene with Kreese (Martin Cove), holy crap that was good and unexpected. Lead up into the final two episodes was perfect too, a little predictable once I saw where the episode was going but…who freaking cares. Plus, use of “Silent Lucidity” in episode 12 was *chef’s kiss*. Happy I came back for the last season.

Finished Department Q last night, main character is great, lots of psychological twists and flashbacks, last episode tied up loose ends, looking forward to more Department Q.

Two great secondary characters Syrian born sidekick, pseudo-cop Akram and damaged copper Rose.

Just started it. On Episode 2. Favorite character so far is Akram.

Anyone have the Lobster Roll at Sandbar in Cold Spring Harbor?
Yes. Not recently but maybe 2 years ago. I don’t remember it wowing me but sometimes places can change year to year with their roll depending on the chef

I am going there for my Birthday/Fathers Day Saturday. I wasn’t planning on getting one unless you really liked it. A lot of things on the menu.

It’s a very nice looking place inside. High ceilings relaxing vibe . The tuna tartare I definitely remember liking

The first three books were made into movies in Denmark. I watched them several years ago and they are excellent. If you donbt mind subtitles, they are available on Amazon

for those always wondering “ damn I wish I could have seen the hard court legend from the mean streets of glen cove. White Chocolate “ 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀. heres a pic I’ve never seen until today literally sent to me a few hours ago taken of White Chocolate on his graduation 1988 For context I’m 6 ft 4 and all of White Chocolates friends from Glen Cove are tall. ( probably had something to do with the toxic ball fields we all played on next to an incinerator as kids ) My hair added 2-3 inches of pure intimidation on defense “

Obviously White Chocolate is on the far right
