Pacers seem to have more ways to beat you than the Knicks.
Carlisle is totally out coaching Thibs. Every matchup and switch benefits the Pacers.
I just think the Brunson/KAT combo is untenable against elite teams on defense. KAT’s on court awareness is absolutely horrendous. Maybe he’s not soft but he’s clueless, and even worse in transition.
Brunson is naturally limited. If he was the only defensive guy to exploit, we would be much better.

Brandon has an entertainment magazine versus JV when comparing coaches; I guess he thinks Indiana puts out a more entertaining product. Knick defensive switches were horrific, and I agree that the role of the bench for the Knicks has to be changed. If they are not good enough to play a few minutes, then why are they getting "free" seats plus compensation at the Garden. So much for the Knick's "Braintrust".

I'll wait until the series concludes to write my epitaph for the Knicks and Thibs. Some bad coaching last night but many were writing them off prematurely in each of the last two series. The most troubling thing to me is that KAT is just lost on defense and it looks like he & Thibs have kind of given up on each other. I think Starks would be happy to let the two bigs start together which might be worth a try tomorrow.
KAT on D playing like a rookie w zero instincts and recovering ability.
Maybe varsity vs. JV.

The idea that “coaching” is the difference is overstated. The Knicks have defensive deficiencies that have existed all season because the players are not good defenders.Thibs cannot waive a magic wand and make guys better on defense.
I think Mitchell Robinson is a good defender. Doesn’t matter who is coaching the team. On the other hand KAT is a liability to be kind. Even Brunson who plays hard is limited by his size. I could go on but why bother. This team needs to win on OFFENSE. I’m hoping but the Pacers unlike the Celtics are hitting shots. The Knicks are hitting not enough.
