Knicks

Brunson, Bridges, Obi all huge tonight.
Up 3-1 on the defending champs,
maybe some “fans” will be a little slower to bury our Knicks!

Some people (me included) just get so use to disappointment, that they think that it's gonna happen over and over and over.
I wanted a good start so bad from the Knicks, then they go down 13-4, and I just snapped saying same ole Knicks. I was fuming.

Just maybe these Knicks are different.

Big Body Brunson! 39 with a lot of help from Bridges, OG and KAT all scoring over twenty points. Can’t count on those 4 to score at that rate every night which is why Hart having trouble scoring is a bit concerning. He used to be a threat for a triple double almost every night his outside shooting has gone missing.

Tatum injury is a shame. For the league, for the Celtics and (inconsiderate for saying this I know) but it’s also a shame for the Knicks because the talk unfortunately won’t be about how well they played in the second half

Hate to see any player suffer an injury especially if it is serious but we are in NY there will be plenty of talk about the Knicks.

Yea I’m talking more nationally, it is what it is but I felt like last night was a significant moment from the Knicks where they actually took some haymakers from the Celtics and delivered on a near perfect second half. The first two games felt like the Celtics folded almost as much as the Knicks took it, last night was the game where we ate 42 from Tatum, white couldn’t miss, and yet we battled and took control of the game. We had a breakaway dunk to go up 9 when Tatum went down. I just hope it’s not lost that we earned that s**t

Yes we did and it wasn't just Jalen. Bridges and Obi were great down the stretch and Mitch was super impactful on both ends. Good job by Thibs managing Mitch's PT so that Celts couldn't employ the old hack a Mitch.

I know there were so many national pundits feeling badly for the Knicks during the Indiana series last year.

I know the same pundits barked loudly about how that “cheapened” Indiana’s series win.

Yes. That was a massive pile of sarcasm from me.

Anyone around the Celtics (and Lakers) are not permitted to ever discuss rotten luck with a straight face. They have been blessed with some of the most “fortuitous” outcomes in NBA history.

I've been so down on this team all regular season and the first round against Detroit. The vibe shift is something I've never experienced with one of my teams before. It really is incredible to behold.

It has to be a little scary for the league to know that this team is playing its best basketball right now, they have a top 10 guy to close out a game, and they can still play much better. One example, KAT is 1-10 from three this series!

Can't take the series for granted, even if Tatum's injury is what we all expect it to be. But how can anyone not like our chances now?

Terrible seeing Tatum going down like that... kid was putting on a Clinic... he was certainly getting 50... might have approached 60 given every possession was His....

Anyway... part of sports.... Think Boston rallies in Game 5 - Jaylen shows up to show he's not just Pippen to Tatum's Jordan.... and then we get Game 6 at Home.

Don’t let Boston catch their breath. Still a lot of talent over there.
Disclaimer: I am not making an argument that they are better off without Tatum.

Last night in the fourth, while I thought Tatum's shotmaking was incredible, I also felt like he took his entire team out of rhythm with the hero ball stuff. Much higher difficulty, guys getting completely stagnant, and he even stopping to use a PnR. I can absolutely see the Celtics playing with a lot of spirit and energy in front of their home crowd and the guys also being more than ready to pick up the slack. Kind of funny to think but that Sam Hauser injury may end up really mattering now.
