Ty's daughter Tyra lost a tough 3 set match in first round of the Italian Open today. Tyra will be playing for Italy rather than the U.S. going forward. Her Mom is Italian and she grew up near Milan. She's only 17 and appears to have a promising future in tennis.

Likely more of a business decision than national pride. She will make more promotional money in Italy than in the crowded U.S. market. Tyrone was a big proponent of his kids representing the U.S. since they could walk.
Just as much as wanting his kids names to begin with TY.
