Boogie (Days And) Nights

My only thought on this. If Jackson signed on (no minor recruit) with the idea he was going to play point, why would he be so happy about Fland coming? I know there is some history, but business is business and if Jackson shows he can play point his NBA stock goes up.

Jackson made sure to announce he was not just coming to SJU, but to play point, something I don't think I've ever seen before. Makes me think the roster is done, period, but if I'm wrong that's fine too.
You just broke Kranmars heart.
Fland, with Pitino, never showed any interest in St. John's.
The only possible attraction is "show me the money".
Boogie is a highly effective scoring point guard but we now have guys that are excellent scorers who need to share the sugar.
I'm not sure Boogie sweetens the recipe but he certainly would stabilize the pg position..........but at what cost and to what player's negative effect.

Yes during the initial recruitment it was presumed from the start that Boogie wanted to get out of NY. Then he went to live in Arkansas.

At this point, any player who drops out of the draft because they are mocked in the second round, is going to a big time school for a handsome NIL.

The point here is once again, that profile fits SJU. Fland was going to follow Calipari out of high school no matter what (he followed him to Arkansas).

Now Calipari has essentially replaced him, and Fland will be a college FA if he decides to come back to school, since he is also in the portal (think RJ here).

If we have learned anything from the transfer portal, not being recruited by a coach mean very little.

That's the difference between you and me, I'm never satisfied.

Yeah, it's ok for the blue bloods to get as many top players as possible, but ohhh God forbid SJU does the same, who do they think they are, right.

Well I hope SJU get Boogie, and to whoever doesn't like it, well that's to freaking bad.

Damn wish I had 20billion, I'd give Rick 100million and tell him to get 15 stars on this team, let the complainers complain.

The more, the merrier baby.
I bet this is your favorite song? šŸ˜‚šŸ‘

I agree that those players have nothing to lo$e and everything to gain in this new paradigm. However, only a select handful of schools will be competitive in that scenario.
