Get Ready for 25-26!

My big question going into this season is the 2/3/4 logjam. It’s great to have and I suppose Duke has done this stuff for a long time. We have took much talent at these spots. If say best best front 3 are Zuby, Mitchell and B. Hop. That said, Sanon can’t spend much time on the bench. 2 wjth Ian and sellers and both can’t get all the time. I suppose Jackson splits time T the 1 with Darling but we still have PT issues. Our bench guys like Ayo/lefty will see almost zero time unless and injury, still have Odih there who I think is ahead of lefty/ Ayo. Will be interesting to see how we balance it.

Don’t see Odih ahead of Lefty or Ayo. Pitino has given us two clear years of evidence there.

That is what I call a quality problem. That said there are always injuries,

Odih may have a slight chance to surpass Lefty...his path is rebounding and defense. Sellers and Sanon are not strong in those areas. A lot of variables there though: Odih would have to be a monster in those areas, Sellers and Sanon would have to struggle there, and Lefty could not have markedly improved.

Lefty's path to big minutes would be us struggling with PG play and him showing vast improvement there. The shooting alone won't get him big minutes over two great shooters in Sanon and Sellers. I'm bullish on him. Our shooting year over year is pretty wild.

I do think Odih will be getting 20+ minutes as a soph regardless of who we bring in.

Also think he can surpass Ayo but that would be purely his talent being better than advertised

I think in time Odih will have more guard skills, but for time being I think he’s Ayo’s understudy and is behind him at the 3. Could I see him getting time ahead of lefty at the 3 in lineups? yeah. But overall I think he’s firmly behind him in pecking order next year and is the 7th guy of the 6 man group.

Tall task to be better than a R-JR version of Ayo. I don't think he will be able to come that close on defense...he may be able to offer more rebounding. Ayo's best position might be the 4...definitely if he adds another 5-7 lbs of muscle.

Our front court defense could just be bonkers this season. I don't know who is stopping quick PGs though.

Maybe actually have to play a zone against those quick PGs but what do I know. But your concern is valid.
