Around the Big East

Wonder where he goes from here. At some point I assume major colleges won't shell out big bucks for those stats.
It isn't the stats. It's the total lack of effort. Maybe a bottom feeder ACC team will take him, otherwise he is A-10 or lower. Can't see a major program bothering with him. But somebody will look at his high school ranking and mistakenly think they can do something with him.

So SHU brought in the largest transfer class last year in the BE, 8 kids + 2 high school kids + 3 returning players (Tubek, DAW and Coleman).

7 of the 8 transfers from last year are in the Portal again, the only kid not is out of eligibility. Right now Sha has only the 2 high school kids (Felton and Godswill who avg 6.3 pts per/game combined) from last year's team not in the Portal or out of eligibility.

I understand their NIL is not good but man you went 7-25 last year you telling me all of these kids are leaving to get paid big money somewhere else? And if they are getting pushed out are we saying they are going to land studs now?

I mean something is not right there beyond the NIL...

Totally agree.

I think you're going to see at least 3 more of them leaving to go down a level. Yalden was a "good teammate, cheerleader" type guy who already committed to vermont. I think Dual, Okorafor, and Tubek drop a level or two. Coleman assuredly got some money from OSU. The real problem is not retaining Aligbe (that type of player). He's sorta like DAW in that he was a solid body started most games but never needed things to run through him. I don't envy SHU, if the NIL revenue share doesn't go into effect they will be dead in the water.

I still think teams like seton hall should look at all the local neglected 3 and 4 star high schoolers and say "hey listen you come here for 1 year you all get $XX,XXX. and all your games are on national tv." after year one you have exit opportunities. You're welcome to stay but if you leave for more NIL we will be happy for you." and take their chances with 8 hungry freshman every year. I haven't seen a big east team as bad as shu was this year since the team we fielded late feb 2004.
