Good Luck Khaman Maker

Not thrilled to only have 6 returnees now for next season. Best of luck to the young man.
Six returnees so far. There could always be more attrition. (I guess conceivably someone could change their mind and be invited back). One of the negatives for opting exclusively for the one year plans. Seems like the days of having on unranked recruit like DJ Kennedy develop into a NBA player and winningest TBT player of ALL TIME are gone.

That being said. Someone will find space for a 7' 2'' athlete. Good luck, I hope you have a Yaxel-ian career!

DJ Kennedy was a top 125 recruit and played like one. He progressed every year , which is what typically happens to players who stay around for 4 years. He was certainly not an unknown in high school.

Zuby didn’t play as a freshman and transferred to a lesser team (us). He didn’t play much as a soph for an NIT team before Pitino got his sea legs and revamped the roster.

Would Zuby have received the same opportunity if Pitino got a here a year earlier and had the ball rolling? I don’t think so.

This is not a snarky comment: he always made his shots and free throws in warmups. He looked like a player.

Good luck Khaman!

Khaman Maker - all the best young man - you have talent and heart and will do well whatever your path! Thanks for being here as a Redman and being part of our great season!

General Sherman and his friends Generals Sheridan and Grant 🙏🏻
Thanks

Is he from Sudan? Hope he is not on a student visa. They were all revoked. At least I believe they were last week.
