UConn Makes Us Want to ... Hurl

To say they are fringe top-25 is just absolutely crazy. They are preseason top 5 team.

That isn't what I was saying although I can see how it could be read that way - I was just saying that a generic fringe top-25 team would be better than last year's UConn team, I wasn't saying that's what next year's UConn team is.

I think next year's UConn team is probably in the 10-15 range to start and could go up or down from there depending on what job Hurley does.

Tom in Salem hates UConn more than anyone else, so I want him to weigh in on what makes him hurl about UConn (referring back to the Name of this thread).

Smith gives them an edge i think we had that over them last year winning at Storrs. Their fans cried about our physicality eating their abeetz 🤣. I hate UConn so much.

I'm second to Tom in Salem for my hatred of UConn. I went to HS and eventually worked in Stamford CT while most of my classmates went to UConn because in-state tuition and freshmen student housing called the Jungle were dirt cheap. In the early days since my graduation, St. John's used to beat the hell out of UConn. Then Calhoun happened and things turned around fairly quickly. Let's just say I'm tired of getting my balls busted by both my former classmates and co-workers.

CBA69 bring back Dom Perno, the Norm Roberts of UConn Men's BB.

Just to rub it in, after I saw the UConn Women's Parade was in Downtown (downtrodden) Hartford, I put on X how if they really think of the Garden as their Storrs South, then how come the parade wasn't in the Canyon of Heroes instead of Hartford? Along with a picture of the Empire State Building in RED for our BET Championship.

If we win it all, we get a Parade, right, Pitino and Fallon will make it happen.

Spent many weekends in the Jungle Freshman year. 30 kids from my graduating class in NY went to Uconn including many close friends.
I don't mind if Uconn is good...most of my friends were Big East fans like myself before choosing a favorite. They love MSG and a good St. John's and Villanova.

Dom Perno was a much better Recruiter than Norm
He got Corny Thompson , Mike McKay and Chuck Alexisinas , Kentucky 7 footer to play for UCONN . Shortly after got Earl Kelley , best HS player in Connecticut

All those guys were top 100 or better coming out of HS .

Perno didn’t get much success but , the BE was very tough back in those early 80- mid 80’s .

Exactly that’s why they were jealous of us this year they have 6 national titles but there having parades in Hartford. Other than the Gold Club there’s nothing in Hartford! Travelers golf tournament up there good stuff🤣🤣.
