Ark had both Boogie and Wagner.....why can't we have two top their point guards?
I asked Arkansas fans what they think of him, and all were glowing + think he'll thrive with Pitino + operate as the primary point guard.I understand, but if the staff wants to entrust Wagner with the keys to the car, then let’s do it.
He is quick, has good size, and is strong. Coming back home (yes, I know he is a Jersey guy) and wanting to improve his game to become a third generation NBA player seems like a great motivator.
Wagner was high on my list when his name first popped up.
"Anything for you Godfather"Anticipate the same response Sonny’s undertaker gave the Don.![]()
Based on If there is only so much NIL money to go aroundLee and Jackson would play different positions. If your point let’s land one of the two for better impact, sorry for missing that.
My preference is to have Sellers, Lee and Jackson on campus together, get to know each other, click and commit.![]()
In isolation, my guess is you will be happy then.Based on If there is only so much NIL money to go around
I would want Jackson
Mean Gene transforms into Pleasant and Optimistic Gene.Give me Jackson and Wagner with a solid 3 and D Forward and we’ll be humming!!
along with Zuby, Sanon, and Hopkins and depth of that bench...that is a "wake me up I'm dreaming" scenarioGive me Jackson and Wagner with a solid 3 and D Forward and we’ll be humming!!
With all the names floating around, our potential Plan B is better than most Plan A’s that we’ve experienced throughout the years.DJ Wagner, is rumored interested in SJU by folks I respect. If Pitino could rein in Russ Smith, can he do so same with DJ to make him a more consistent distributor? Question of the day.
I prefer Lee, but just noting a potential, not perfect Plan B.
Andrew,There is so much going on in this thread that it is hard to keep track. It seems everyone has thoughts so I figured I would share some of mine.
For example -
Sanon - have never seen him play but his tape makes me think he will be outstanding.
Hopkins - I think we are all familiar with him. Health is the only concern.
Wilcher - I love his potential. I hope he can realize it as it would be great to take a local guy away from UNC have him develop into a four year player who makes a significant impact. But like the Dylan movie whether it happens is a Complete Unknown.
Zuby - if anyone has a “Big East” body he does.
Lee - Saw him play once and watched the tape. He looks like he will play in the NBA. I will leave it to Pitino to decide to sign him if he can/wants to and figure out how to utilize him. I don’t obsess over levels as we have seen guys move up with great success, lateral transfers and even guys move down with less success.
Sellers- Never saw him play but the tape shows an experienced player with a great shot.
Ian Jackson - I watched him play numerous times at Hayes. One of the CHSAA guys that you get the luxury to watch basically for free. Fland was another recent example.
I didn’t see him the year he transferred which was a disappointment. I thought he was overrated because he didn’t shoot that well at Hayes. I thought he might turn into a Rawle Alkins in college. His shooting this season far exceeded my expectations. He is so athletic that with commitment he can be a great player. Of all the names mentioned this would excite me the most. Hayes kid leaves UNC and thrives at St. John’s.
Wright - we saw how good he is. Not expecting him to come here but who knows.
Others - names keep popping up every day.
I love that we have multiple reserves returning with at least a year with Pitino.
Yeah, portal has many moving parts, rumors, anxiety, etc but playing in the big leagues chasing guys makes it a hell of a lot more fun than waiting to see if Jaquan Sanders pops for us or arguing over whether or not Kolby King can play point guard.![]()
Beats worrying about Vince Cole and Earlington portalingWith all the names floating around, our potential Plan B is better than most Plan A’s that we’ve experienced throughout the years.
Given that coach has no goals for Glover apparently, you might be right.
are you implying that those 3 guys may or may not be visiting together this weekend? because that is what i am inferring!Lee and Jackson would play different positions. If your point let’s land one of the two for better impact, sorry for missing that.

We are lucky and blessed to have you here as well. One last portal comment, the site is blessed to have guys close to the possibilities out there like dk423, Mug, Mase, Sju79, Happy and others. It adds some excitement to the off season on heels of best year we have had in ages. It helps me avoid watching baseball too.![]()
