I asked Arkansas fans what they think of him, and all were glowing + think he'll thrive with Pitino + operate as the primary point guard.

With all the names floating around, our potential Plan B is better than most Plan A’s that we’ve experienced throughout the years.

Lee - Saw him play once and watched the tape. He looks like he will play in the NBA. I will leave it to Pitino to decide to sign him if he can/wants to and figure out how to utilize him. I don’t obsess over levels as we have seen guys move up with great success, lateral transfers and even guys move down with less success.

Sellers- Never saw him play but the tape shows an experienced player with a great shot.

Ian Jackson - I watched him play numerous times at Hayes. One of the CHSAA guys that you get the luxury to watch basically for free. Fland was another recent example.

I didn’t see him the year he transferred which was a disappointment. I thought he was overrated because he didn’t shoot that well at Hayes. I thought he might turn into a Rawle Alkins in college. His shooting this season far exceeded my expectations. He is so athletic that with commitment he can be a great player. Of all the names mentioned this would excite me the most. Hayes kid leaves UNC and thrives at St. John’s.

Wright - we saw how good he is. Not expecting him to come here but who knows.

Others - names keep popping up every day.

I love that we have multiple reserves returning with at least a year with Pitino.

I think you are spot on as usual. As it pertains to Jackson, when I saw him play in High School it appeared that his alhletic skills made him look like a next level can't miss, but as you noted his outside shooting seemed pretty subpar back then. It was good to note that he made 39.5% during his Freshman season at NC.

If he comes here he could be a great addition, as long as he continues to be able to shoot well from the outside.
 
Yeah, portal has many moving parts, rumors, anxiety, etc but playing in the big leagues chasing guys makes it a hell of a lot more fun than waiting to see if Jaquan Sanders pops for us or arguing over whether or not Kolby King can play point guard. 😇

I have no anxiety this off-season. ‘25 will be the most anticipated season of my lifetime.
 
One last portal comment, the site is blessed to have guys close to the possibilities out there like dk423, Mug, Mase, Sju79, Happy, Dave and others. It adds some excitement to the off season on heels of best year we have had in ages. It helps me avoid watching baseball too. 🫣

but like SJU, the Mets finally have competent leaders. The GM and manager know what they are doing
