No this is his fourth year of D1 Ball and he started after the 2020/21 season so no Covid year for him.

You are correct however there are probably some exceptions where you have players who were eligible for the Covid extra year but also have a redshirt year due to injury.
If we're only talking about UNC guards, I'd much rather be in the hunt for Cadeau - a pure PG, a position we need.

I don’t like Cadeau defensively at all and don’t think he would fit Ricks scheme of team D.
To an extent, but when you're 6'1" and 180lb, you're going to be inherently limited. I also think getting guys who already have that want to is important to maintain culture and limit difficult adjustments. Last year's roster is a good example. No reason to do that.

ehh... while i agree "effort" is a huge part of Good Defense... there are certain attributes that help one be the type of defender we want, at this level..
Yeah that's a big reason why I think its pending his price, how much it costs us in NIL/other possibilities, etc.
I don't think this is true. There is a certain amount of physical talent needed to defend at a high level...it's not just hustle and heart.
