In addition to all the other Coaching skills that Rick possess , his late game strategy is unparalleled .
Nearly all our BE games of late , regardless of opposition, have been very close , with 5-7 points or so . Creighton and 2nd UCONN game excepted .
He has the ability to design plays , keep the Players calm and do what is necessary to Win .
We could have easily lost the McQ game in regulation or , even in OT but, the guys never wilted and came through again .
As a aside , I think RJ should be BE POY over anyone .
KR getting relegated to 2nd team BE is a injustice , owing more to the league looking to not have 3 Johnnies on the 1 st team .

It's like they have done that before. No need to spike the ball.
That’s because they have not been lifelong SJU fans. There was plenty of unabashed and unrelenting spiking of the ball after Zuby’s shot.
It's a bit different when done by the players, and not the head coach.
Heck with the players. I am talking about us fans. Our viewing party was an embarrassment of end zone celebrations. I was surprised no one tried the Lambeau Leap.
