I agree completely. I hope he returns. I think Pitino will shape him into a star. But I hear he wants to test turnng pro this summer. If that is where his head is at, it does not bode well. There will also be teams promising him playing time. Pitino promises nothing

Test the waters for the pros! Please what does he think he has going for him after the season he has had? Pipe dream, with the pipe filled with peyote!

We had another mercurial guard, highly touted, that got to the point of being impossible to deal with as a sophomore. Different circumstance because that kid had to play big minutes from the jump on a bad team. With a coach who had his positives for sure but isn’t Pitino.

I didn’t know if he would mature, and thought he might be gone after year 2, but he returned, grew up and is an all time fave.

Let’s hope Sim goes that same path (and to be fair, he isn’t dealing with anywhere near the demons or issues our boy D-LO seemed to have faced in year 2).

Sim belongs playing under RP.
Anyone who thinks he wants to leave I think is sorely mistaken. Him, and his family, have to believe this is the right place for him and Pitino has said nothing other than he believes in him. You need some continuity in this age of NIL and Wilcher and St. John’s is a prime example of that.

Retaining Wilcher should be priority number three in the portal after RJ and Zuby

Absolutely ! I have them as1A equally , They are a trio that likely could be 60 percent of our lineup next year .

I don’t agree that Wilcher will ever be a PG. In my mind , he’s a SG and where he can better use that Shooting stroke .

Raftery has been prolific in his praise for Sim all year . Bill knows BB and his opinion is a expert one .

Pitno has tried to turn Wilcher into a PG and I don’t think that’s his natural role but , Pitino’s opinion is the one that counts .

I , would not want to lose Sim to another program . We have a 2 year investment in him that shouldn’t be ignored .

Wilcher & Zuby aren't going anywhere. Really hoping RJ, Glover, Prey, Lefty & Maker also return. That would be a nice nucleus and would also welcome Brady back.

Thought same re: Wusu. . .the team manager issue” aside, I think he would fit well w/Pitino.

Not sold on Coleman
A thousand years things—maybe 19,000–must have been going through DAW’s head when he stepped on that court. He was a warrior out there. Very happy for him, and grateful for the three passionate years he gave us…

It’s not a popular opinion on here, but Wusu would have been an unreal depth piece for Pitino. He can cover 5 spots and eat everyone’s lunch/chick-fil-a.

Coleman is a player. Might need to call him up to varsity next year.
Dylan drove me crazy sometimes (good Dylan, bad Dylan) but I agree with you and you could use him at both guard spots and the three (provided it was the good Dylan).

I like Coleman and his free throw shooting on Saturday definitely fits in with our guys.

He may end up being a better pro than a college player, but I'd agree he's got no chance of being drafted after this season. He could find himself as a late first round pick after a big year next year. His body is barely ready for college.

And the 4 and 5. He's that strong. Nobody is backing him down in the post. You'd have to go over him and avoid the swiping from the help defenders coming in late.

I've been impressed with how he's gotten separation from his defenders -- both off the dribble for a jumper & getting to the lane. Still needs another 10-15lbs. I think his biggest limitation is getting too frustrated & not having the self-confidence to move on to the next play with focus + channeling his intensity. Things that underclassmen could be prone to do.
