Around College Basketball

A-Rod has always been a big college basketball fan. I forget the year but while with the Seattle Mariners he came to one of our games at then Alumni Hall.

ARod lined that up like a Mark Jackson used to do before shooting free throws.

We may be 30-4 on selection Sunday. Have to figure we are a two seed if that happens
I think getting a 2 is their ceiling but they probably have to run the table and even then they may need some help.

I see 6 teams for 4 no. 1's. Auburn and Duke are basically locks. Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Houston for the other 2.

The 2 that don't get the no. 1's will drop to 2. That leaves 2 number 2 spots. Iowa St, Wisconsin, Texas A&M firmly in the mix. SJU can join teams like Kentucky and Texas Tech for potential 2 seed line depending on how they finish.

Recommend listening to the interview.

Easy to arm-chair commissioner on the internet. I've been critical of her, but she's clearly bright + has the right values + understands the situation we're in. It does make me wonder, however, if its time to get an outside-the-box thinker in there.

I'm curious if anything comes to actual fruition, and desperately hope these "alliances" aren't with mid-majors & below. I think that would backfire big time.

Like you said towards the end of your first sentence. We need proactive. Not reactive.
