Part of Zuby's issue with his offense last night was the effort spent defending Dixon.

We were not going to go undefeated the rest of the year. We still almost pulled this game out and I am still pissed about the longino travel not called that led to game winning three. That being said the Smith news sucks but this team will be fine and I expect them to rebound and win Sunday.

Our team needs to adjust better when subbing players. (ie. Vince for Zuby. Vince can't defend like Zuby so why put him in the same defensive scheme.)

He only played 9 minutes. Are you saying he was fatigued ?

I saw Ruben's international #'s. He was not shooting 3's in his limited time either

I still feel like one can at least be a threat on offense without being polished, was hoping Prey could be somewhere in the middle of that at this point given his international experience and practicing with the team all year
He could be if he got the time, the opportunity to makes mistakes, and he played in a structured system.

Pitino is all defense. He’s not going to help anyone out on offense.

It’d be great to have someone that could add some offense, but it’s still awesome to have Prey and Ayo who won’t hurt you on defense. Let them screen for Kadary and RJ. That’s half our possessions any way.

If you think Prey is terrible then you should find another hobby. To write after that "Vince doesn't give us much" is delusional. He doesn't give us anything. He takes away more than any player I've seen all year in college basketball. We are so fortunate that we keep going on runs the second he leaves the game, because he could easily lead to a 15-0 run one of these games. Momentum is a big deal in college basketball. Putting that kid in the game when a team in struggling could give them confidence and get them going.
I agree with Marillac 100%. Vince brings nothing to the table. His positioning is dubious, his footwork is slow and he has difficulty catching a pass.

RJ's defense on the last play was really bad. Poplar drives and RJ is right there to close him off and lets him go. Then on the kick and swing RJ is in the wrong spot, 10 feet off Perkins, late to close. For as good as he's been defensively and overall this year, this was just a really poor and costly mental lapse. Unfortunate.

I agree Dave 100%. Poplar created a 1 on 3 because RJ left his man with Zuby and Wilcher about to double team Poplar. At this point both corners are open but Kadary seemed ready to cover one of the corners. Scott had to race down to cover the other corner and because RJ was triple teaming Poplar, he got to Perkins too late for an open 3 point shot.

The whole defensive alignment on the Perkin's shot was out of whack.

RJ’s defense was also poor against Providence. At times it’s really shut down but it’s been more up & down than I’d like.

Prey did have a key steal at Storrs. An asset that contributed to victory over Danny boy.
Prey needs to be standing somewhere out of the way on offense, he shouldn't be standing near the sideline on a knockout option. Weak side, away from the ball, ready to crash the boards. He's not being put in a position where he can succeed.
