@#19 Connecticut, Fri., Feb. 7, 8p, FOX

Yes, you want consistency. But you do not want consistently moving screens with feet and elbows way apart and letting that go, just in the name of consistency.
I've found in watching, and weathermannyc will agree, Connecticut, but even Nova and Creighton, engage in moving screens constantly. Almost never called. Lost art in the modern era of BB???

Spent time with two die hard Uconn fans yesterday. They are really nice people and because of my crazy St. John's fandom, they both root for us, with one BIG exception.

They are both very worried about this game. They see a revved up St. John's team on a big roll and a Uconn team that has looked pretty ordinary at times. They think Karaban is in a funk.

I really liked hearing how worried these two fans are; I am not sure this is typical among the more assholery Uconn fans.
Some of the posts I’ve read on boneyard they expect to beat us. They feel they matchup well against us.

Torvik has UConn favorites at less than a point.

I wouldn't let any of these lines rattle our confidence in today's game. I give slight edge to UConn based on homecourt, a week to prep and hypothetically get Diarra/McNeeley healthy.

But it's going to be a good one...

#78 said it. Their perimeter defense has been bad all year.
Betting lines don't mean s*, you still gotta play the game. We're going to go in there and walking out with e win. We're road warriors.

I just hope the refs aren't Hurley's bitches tonight and kiss his ass.

Keys to the game:

If SJU scores more points than UConn, there's a good chance we're going to win.
Keys to the game? That's simple.
The refs.

I can't get last year at UConn out of my head.

We had a nice little lead early 2nd half.
Then for some reason there was a delay in the game, and Hurley nwas in the refs ear the whole time. Right after that everything went UConn's way. No one is going to convince me otherwise.

Really wish there was a way to investigate these freaking refs and fire the bastards who cheat or atleast a long suspension.

I thought for sure we’d be seeing Donny Marshall and Jim Calgoon at the Mic. 🎤 Fox turning into the Yukon vision network. So hearing Gus Johnson screaming at us doesn’t sound too bad.

Why wasn’t it just last week we had Yukon Saturday night with a doubleheader Women’s and Men’s game. Maybe tonight Kara Wolters or Geno Auriemma can make a special appearance detailing last night’s tragic loss to Tennessee.
