I am sure they exist but The Sheik has never met any "nice" UCONN fans at MSG. They are the most obnoxious and rudest fan base I have encountered.

There's only 1 "The Sheik" and he ain't of the Iron variety. ;)

I worked with two big UConn fans in my career. One was my VP back in the early to late 90’s who has since passed on. The other one I met at the same time and am still friends with. Went to a BE Tourny game with the VP back in the day and have gone to several BE games (including vs UConn) with the other.

Both great guys. I don’t really know any other UConn fans personally.

Not making this into a lovefest for "nice" Uconn fans, but I worked with three in the 80's into the 2000's all were good guys and rooted for us when we weren't playing them. Not assholes at all.

Once when we lost to the Huskies on a Saturday night, I was at a restaurant afterwards, and two couples in their late 60's saw my St. John's red sweater, and came over to me and said Good Game (it was a close one), and wished me luck for the Johnnies the rest of the way.

Now I have also personally witnessed the crazy drunk Wackos get off the busses at 31 St and Eight Ave., loaded to bear, and I hate those Conn fans.

At $2 a beer, the entire arena will be crazy drunk wackos.

I think it’s going to take one of our players that usually don’t shout well to have a great shooting game to win this one. This team has not faced anything like the crowd they will be playing in front of tonite and will be the most challenging game of the season.

Only 3rd game of the year the closing line will have us as dogs.

Baylor (+2.5) and Creighton (+1)

The money is coming in pretty evenly. Opening was -2.5 but at even money now -3.5 at -115. They still think we lose by 3 but that is not a big swing from opening based on the odds. You could probably buy it down to 2.5 at -135.

You think Devon Smith will get his starting spot back tonight?

I think we may see Sim or mayve Scott return to the bench.
Pitino seems to be doing everything possible to give Sim the confidence to be on the floor and to shoot, shoot, shoot. Deivon seems willing to come off the bench (for now).

My sense is that Pitino is using all of these games as building blocks for a March run, which may mean getting Sim ready now and knowing that Deivon can slot into the starting role at any point.
