Can Mitchell coexist with Luis? Luis doesn’t shoot particularly well and Mitchell can’t shoot a lick. Terrible analogy, but somewhat similar to recruitment of Curbelo at the time (not talking about personality). Not necessarily a great fit, but is too talented to pass up.

Luis is a wing who can defend multiple positions (when the effort is there) and Mitchell is also a freakishly athletic forward who can defend multiple positions but probably plays a little more inside. I think they’d coexist great.

Yeah you have to hope on Luis getting back to his UMASS 3pt % this year and being more under control. And rely on the defense to create offense.

Completely agree with your last sentence. Thankfully we have a great coach to figure it out
 
Let's be clear. Rick has a plan. The plan included several targets as well as fallback options if those primary targets fell thru for various reasons.

That has always been the case. It is not so much patience but merely sticking to the plan as more and more kids entered the Portal. He is an All-Time HOF coach that SJU is very fortunate to have. He knows what he is doing.

The fact that a bunch of message board jerkoffs feel the need to express their displeasure does not change what has always been the case.

Good points, but having been one of those “jerkoffs” myself, I wouldn’t be so hard on them. I think we all love this program and I very much appreciate the anxiety after all the years of suffering.

I don’t think either Champagnie or Harkless were that, but I get your point. I’m hoping Luis blossoms into a go-to scorer. I think Sim could be a consistent double digit scorer, but definitely agree that I’d like to see us grab an alpha scorer.
