Be clear as long as Rick Pitino is your coach you have already won half the battle.
Stay calm...
Can a coach, any coach, approach a player who is considering entering the portal agree on an NIL deal before that player officially enters the portal?

Thanks. No players cannot be contacted by other teams before they enter Portal.
Are there ways around that, of course. But technically it is tampering.

I think one of the worst decisions made by the BE was readmitting UCONN into the league .Thanks.
UConn did not leave the Big East, the Big East left UConn. The non FBS schools decided to break away after they were ravished by expansion and felt it would not be in their best interest to stay with the new schools that were added. They paid for the name and left leaving both UConn and Cincy who were the remaining Big East members from the previous season and the other members who joined after the defections of Syracuse, Pitt etc.I think one of the worst decisions made by the BE was readmitting UCONN into the league .
They are the only school in Football in the league . They made a decision to leave the BE and turn their back on the rest of us . Why let a Public school with Tax Payer $$$ back into a Conference that had Villanova as a 2 time NCAA Champion , 3 time if you count 85.
With all the $$$ UCONN has, they can continue to dominate our League for years . And, they will always get a bid , because they support the Football Schools .
It will be very difficult for any of the other Schools to compete for anything but , 2 nd place .
The BE succumb to the almighty dollar , when UCONN would have faded into oblivion in the AAC or , whatever Conference they were in at the time .
There are some occasions when a decision needs to be made on other than business reasons .UConn did not leave the Big East, the Big East left UConn. Now if offered would they have left, absolutely but that didn’t happen and no they weren’t given a choice to stay with St. John’s, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall, Villanova and Georgetown.
I was against them being added afterwards to for reasons previously stated by me that I will not go into again. The both parties has benefited from this relationship. The Big East has gained in revenue and UConn is well UConn. As much as I hated it then and dislike it now, it was a great business decision for both.
If UCONN decides to leave for what they think are greener pastures, good riddance and pay us what you owe us. Having said that, I don't know how anyone can say having UCONN these last few years has been bad for the Big East. There are some occasions when a decision needs to be made on other than business reasons .
Maybe i remember it differently but , no matter it still seems to me to be a bad decision for the Schools that continued the BE name .

Very few topics this board is united on but the admission of Uconn back to the BE was one such topic where we were almost unanimous that no one wanted them to return. If UCONN decides to leave for what they think are greener pastures, good riddance and pay us what you owe us. We are responsible for our own performance.Yes , I understand the view of several posters advocating the value of UCONN being readmitted to the BE .
It’s just my opinion that the League was doing rather nicely , without them . Villanova had won 2 NCAA CHampionships and except, for the fact that we Stinl , the Leagje had high achieving teams in Creighton , Xavier , Marquette and some very decent SH , PC teams.
So , next season when the Huskies dominate the League again , we should count our lucky stars that the are BE and possibly a 3 peat NCAA Champion ?
Will that quiet the dislike of Hurley , their obnoxious fans , and just our disdain on their whole program .
If they have done so much for the BE ,why did we only received 3 bids to the Tournament ?
So the view they contribute positively to the Leagues’s stature is questionable .
When Hurley brings in another McD AA one and done lottery pick as he has done the last 3 years , we should be happy as we watch them blitz through the season ?
I recognize mine is a minority view but , we can renew it again in the fall and talk again about everything we dislike about UCONN . It will happen .
Good for the BE ? Hmmm.
A banked in 3 pointer by Michael O'Connell saved him. By winning the ACC tournament, he will make an additional 5 million dollars over the next few years, Not sure what his bonus is for making the Final 4.Keatts was a free throw away from losing his job. Now he's in the final four. And the Pitino coaching tree grows stronger
I'd rather trade UConn for ND, and trade DePaul for Dayton. We are responsible for our own performance.
How many more $ have/will we bring in as a result of UConn winning and getting NCAA units?
I was skeptical but I'll take Uconn over DePaul.

According to everything I am hearing around Raleigh, he was definitely NOT getting firedTo be fair I am not 100% sure he would have definitely lost his job if they lost the UVA game. He was on the hot seat nonetheless but word was he probably would have gotten another year.
But still a remarkable story.
